@@MP-mr8rj Good for you, you wont regret getting one :-D You can do way more with VST´s these days but there is something about tweaking the knobs and experimenting. @@CBSoreidemusic I spent 4 days in Pienza. For 2 days I rented a scooter and got to drive to Montepulciano, Castiglioni d'orcia, Abbadia San Salvatore, Montecchielo... I got to see Siena afterwards for 2 days. Siena was very busy compared to val d'orcia 😂 As for my favorite, I'd have to say Pienza and Montefollonico. Both are very pretty and quiet, which is generally what I look for! But my favorite stretch to drive on was Pienza to San Quirico d'orcia, that road has some beautiful views If you're able to film any of those that would be really cool!

I had 2 days there and I still pretty sure that 70% of my blood consists of the extreme amount of Pecorino cheese devoured during those days 😅 But I know what you mean the stretch to San Quirico d'orcia, I was there the first time in October and the colour was awesome :-D

@CBSoreidemusicАй бұрын
Hey there :-) I connect the usb to the mac and then I choose External instrument in logic ( Think I show where it is in the "How I recreate trance tunes with a Roland JP-8080" video". It´s the same principal as how I then get audio in shown in the same video. I use a 3.5mm jack from the headphone out on the JT-4000 to two XLRs that goes into my audio interface, then create a audio track and set 1-2 as the input. :-)

I have only used the JP8xxx out of the ones you mention there so not sure about the others. But the JP pops up almost every time you search for trance synth ( as well as the Viruses) so I would guess that one stands out. But read that many use the Blofeld to so that might also be a good option.... much cheaper too :--)

Just revisiting this after having some issues with my setup and the stereo image when I record my jp8080, so trying to troubleshoot...are you recording straight to your audio interface, or do you record via mixer first then audio interface? Id like to know basically if the stereo image I am hearing is straight out of the JP8080 direct to your DAW and also if internal delay was used or if a plugin is used in the DAW? Cheers mate!
@CBSoreidemusicАй бұрын
Replied in the other post :-) But yeah, what I showed here is the straight out of the synth to the audio interface. I have issues with the volume pot so If its not being pressed as I showed in my first JP vid the imaging is completely off. Is your working perfectly or? As for plugins I used the Valhalla Supermassive one both for reverb and delay, so that might be why some of the patches sounds more massive than straight out of the synth :-)
