Nothing wrong with a high mileage bmw specially if it's diesel and u get a couple bran's new parts fitted to the car and if possible a new timing chain when it needs it the car would run another 100K again depending if u did regular oil changes at 5K and really tried to look aftwr it and monitor the car I was talking to a guy at a car dealer ship he told me I have a BMW I said ye they are crap they brake he said they do in the wrong hands of people he said mine is at 300K and showed me his car was still going strong he said don't get me wrong I did have timing chain changed and I do regular maintenance

This is no way a quick or cheap fix, iv repaired a few of these, so your best bet is strip it for parts…..it’s a long road ahead otherwise, an selling it on is going to be a ball ache

the part beside the hub is a drop link, you need one, plus probably lots of other bits. brake pipe will go to slave cylinder. youre gonna be busy

theres a bit of oil in the cylinder from the fucked rocker gasket when you pulled the plugs it let a bit of oil in lol

Advice get yourself a new gearbox mount and get a polybushed rear engine mount you won't regret it corsa stock mounts are shocking fair play though bro it's getting there

Cost yourself an extra £200 stamping on that headlight. They have ballasts and are coded to the car, if you bust them not only have to buy new ballasts then have to pay again to get recoded If goin be a little kid and smash stuff do it when you have finished the build incase you need bits off the broken item Thick af, don't you realise you just rip and bend things off what is the new part going to attach to

Good job lads. Bought my first Corsa VXR 12 years ago and absolutely loved it. Had another 4 since. Few things, smoke from engine is normal after working on it, could be a splash of oil that’s spilt or just the oils from your fingers on the manifold burning off etc. Plugs were covered in oil so there must have been oil in the cylinders, hence the smoke out the back. Cleared after burning it all off. Wheel turning is normal while the car is in the air. There’s no resistance so the box is able to turn slowly. Nothing to do with the brake line. Also, battery dying in 2 weeks isn’t normal if it’s new. You’ve possibly got a draw somewhere. Nothing better than your first air filter on a turbo car. Even just a backbox delete on these sounds good. My first one was £40 and sounded much better! 3” piper or Remus is the way to go eventually though, along with facelift bumpers and lights 👍🏻

The wheels spinning is normal gearbox drag and the smoke out the back is probably excess oil from rocker cover gasket
