Good job lads. Bought my first Corsa VXR 12 years ago and absolutely loved it. Had another 4 since. Few things, smoke from engine is normal after working on it, could be a splash of oil that’s spilt or just the oils from your fingers on the manifold burning off etc. Plugs were covered in oil so there must have been oil in the cylinders, hence the smoke out the back. Cleared after burning it all off. Wheel turning is normal while the car is in the air. There’s no resistance so the box is able to turn slowly. Nothing to do with the brake line. Also, battery dying in 2 weeks isn’t normal if it’s new. You’ve possibly got a draw somewhere. Nothing better than your first air filter on a turbo car. Even just a backbox delete on these sounds good. My first one was £40 and sounded much better! 3” piper or Remus is the way to go eventually though, along with facelift bumpers and lights 👍🏻

There is a playlist currently on my channel with all the videos so far. Unfortunately the builds been put on hold for a while as it being winter and things being harder than we thought. Hopefully a new VXR video next month!

FYI its normal for them to spin out of gear with no wheel on, and the smoke from the engine looks like it was oil on the manifold, the smoke from the exhaust could be from there was a lot of oil when you took the pugs out and looked like someone over filled it with oil and that will be the smoke from the exhaust it will burn away

Congratulations. I love this series. I used to have a red one until it got crashed into. it was very fun and pretty fast just not very reliable. The white wheels look very good on that better than black in my opinion

The white wheels show up the detail on the alloy better than the black but keeping them clean us a nightmare speaking from past experience , a gunmetal grey color would look great in my opinion , well done on getting it up and running 👍🏻👏🏻😀

The smoke was probably from oil that got into the chamber from when you replaced the spark plugs

theres a bit of oil in the cylinder from the fucked rocker gasket when you pulled the plugs it let a bit of oil in lol

Advice get yourself a new gearbox mount and get a polybushed rear engine mount you won't regret it corsa stock mounts are shocking fair play though bro it's getting there
