Hi! I've already watched a few tent videos, e.g.: Prologic Inspire SLR Bivvy, NASH TITAN HIDE CAMO PRO XL, TRAKKER TEMPEST RS. But this tent is still closer to me in terms of solutions. However, I noticed one thing with all types, that they didn't put in a rain window that could be fastened with Velcro, or maybe it escaped my attention. In heavy rain, if you close everything because the rain comes in through the mosquito net, we can no longer see what is going on outside because we have to close ourselves and sit in a closet. how do you solve this? You made a good video. Best regards, Tibor

Just done an overnighter in one of these. Would highly not recommend to do it, a standard bed chair does fit in it but it’s really tight and pushes out the sides of the shelter, also you will need a low profile chair as your head hits the top with anything else

Great idea for a cheap groundsheet, I mounted it with self-adhesive Velcro tape inside the bivouac to seal the base from water and drafts.

Shame no ground sheet, it would be a struggle in spring when it gets very muddy. Also a bit pricey for a basic pop up tent.

Shame all that work went to waste 👌 Never mind tho at least all the non binary pronoun Sam smith type of folk will get some use out of all the work you did with there so called natural swimming 😂😂😂 There’s nothing more natural than 30 plus years worth of triple hooks, wire traces, hair rigs and feeders ohh and all the snapped rigs rusting away😂 happy tetanus swimming folks

I tell you what...I'm umming and arring over buying that bivvy and there is another choice of another I'm contemplating. Any way back to the goundsheet.....A stirling idea. I was going to suggest a couple of ideas to strengthen the eyelets points....BUT! at £7.50.......forget it.....cracking tip there.. cracking.

Ooooo that’s a tough one, both amazing! I loved the t1 once it’s set up with the inner dome it truly is a league of its own. However it weighed a tonne! The frontier is lighter and easier to set up, hope this helps buddy

Hi mate how is the head room ? I currently have a tempest 100 brolly and I'm oni 5ft11 and when sat on bed head touches the top.i am looking to upgrade to something a little bigger but not to big. Tia good video 👍

Notice you have the storm poles on. When i set up the Trakker Tempest w/o the front I never use the poles. Do you think they are needed with the frontier ie: is it less stable?
@colinsmith4649
@colinsmith4649 Жыл бұрын
Firstly, it’s a really solid, well thought out review!!I had a few questions for you pls 1) I have the Trakker Aquatex 100 Brolly and the well known problem is the height. I’m also 5’10 and wondered whether there is a good amount of head clearance in the standard Frontier? I have no interest in the bigger versions, the footprints are impractical for the places I like to fish 2) Do the mozzi mesh panels on the 2 rear vents also zip and roll up ie: create a complete opening? The one thing I would like to see added to the standard frontier is vents on all sides (like the tempest) which would help with air flow 3) Now that you’ve had the frontier for more than a year how are you finding it, any issues with wear/leakage or anything else? Thank you
@TrickyCarping
@TrickyCarping Жыл бұрын
Sorry buddy I didn’t see your comment. Height is no issue mate sitting on my bed and there is plenty of head room. I owned it for 2 and half years now and it’s still as good as the day I bought it. Never once had a problem and it’s been up and down hundreds of times
