Great idea for a cheap groundsheet, I mounted it with self-adhesive Velcro tape inside the bivouac to seal the base from water and drafts.

Great video and learnt something there pal. I’ve just got a Korum Day shelter lite and it’s a cracking bivvy for the money. I’ve also bought same ground sheet so I might give this a go with that eyelet kit 👍

great idea for a cheap groundsheet but water will make its way in since the ground sheet normally sits on a lip inside the bivvy to seal the base from water and draft

No doubt it will if it’s raining mate, but all you would have to do is put the groundsheet on the inside of the bivvy like a standard groundsheet

Can you stitch them in? I bought a bivvy for camping so I can sit up in a chair when it rains as I don't want to use my family size tent, but the Velcro attached groundsheet was impossible to stay attached and I don't fancy having Dave danger mouse touching is up when I'm fast a kip dreaming of a kebab pasty

I tell you what...I'm umming and arring over buying that bivvy and there is another choice of another I'm contemplating. Any way back to the goundsheet.....A stirling idea. I was going to suggest a couple of ideas to strengthen the eyelets points....BUT! at £7.50.......forget it.....cracking tip there.. cracking.

Made one myself for my easy shelter, probably not as good as yours. Can't understand why fox don't offer to sell one, cost them peanuts to make in the far east and we would be happy to forty or fifty quid.
