Was this door onsale? I see it on lowes for 453! Im not sure why but alot of doors this size are very expensive. Do you remember these size doors being around in the 500s?

Gurl is definitely a blessing it will come . We opted for a custom home , purchased our lot raw. Its been 3yrs of planning and prep. We finally broke ground and you are still ahead 😅 our footings get poured next week. It's definitely a patience on our part. I am so ready.

It sounds like you’ve been through the wringer already but I’m happy to hear it’s finally getting started! Definitely considering going fully custom next time but I don’t know bc my nerves may not handle it lol

@thisgeorgiaclay it's definitely not for the faint. Going custom means you are making decisions at every step. For the freedom there's heavier responsibility. We wanted something to fit functionally for our family and we've purchased before , so we decided this was the best . Despite covid, delays, it is still worth it. We've met others that are custom builders and not one have said they regret it lol. Delays are part of process. I'll be following your journey ✨️. You all will get there. Also we are not building too 😉far from yall .

Hang in there! Our basement forms were poured wrong and 2 big walls had to be completely torn out and redone which delayed ours by 2 weeks. They got it fixed properly and Fischer doubled the manpower on our framing and things got caught up quickly and only a week behind the overall schedule. We close on the 23rd right near you. We're the gray/white on the corner of Great Salt & Okeechobee.

Keep your head and and don’t get too discouraged. Once they start working on the frame the time will seem to fly by. At least that is how it feels now that I have just reached the end of the 7 month process of building my home. I have been following your progress in finding a new home for the last couple of months. Excited for every new update in your process. I can’t wait to see what your home looks like once everything is done.

Keep good spirits. We waited 3 months for windows when we built our Calvin in '22. Where are the Ivy's being built in Indianapolis? Fischer homes has a new addition going in not to far from us in Greenfield.

Thank you. Yes, I should be use to delays while building during Covid but as you know it still sucks lol. It took us a year to build our last home 🤦🏽♀️ The ivys are being built in St. Louis I totally said the wrong place haha.

If you used primer first it would’ve been smoother, then painted black

The paint had primer built in. Plus since we were already working with an all white surface didn’t feel the need to do anything extra. It all worked out in the end.

It is a 9-foot ceiling. We did not use or create any plans but the items we used are listed in the description.
