Wish we would´ve gotten an offical fame and celebrity system in Sims 2 bc we have so many careers that actually have job titles that realistically would make your Sim a celebrity. That´s why, for myself to make it make sense, I don´t allow Sims in certain careers to get promoted beyond a certain caeer level where they technically should be considered a celebrity

I was only a child (~5+) when I played this on the family PC thanks to my older sister buying it. The amount of fun we had playing together is still at the forefront of my memories whenever someone mentions the Sims. This video brought back SO many memories it is ridiculous! The school bus, the neighbourhood layout, the alchemy table, etc lol. Thank you for this vid.

The love bed has FINALLY come back with a new EP for the Sims 4 but frankly it looks a little bland

The Sims 1 was known for being notoriously hard with its motive drains. So imagine 10yrold me and my 8yrold sister discovering the Go Go Cage which MASSIVELY increases fun very quickly, making it one of the most efficient items to have. We didn't know (or understood) what it really was for but we would always have one of these in our Sims' living rooms 'cause they're cheap and never get destroyed and it's always funny hearing Sims shout "WOOHOO! UH HUH!" while go go dancing. Fun times. Granted, we didn't have internet back then so we really couldn't look up what Go Go Cages were for.

as much as i love the sims1 and 2 sountracks, nothing is gonna beat that song from the "Sims 2 Generations" trailer. that trailer came with my copy of sims making magic and made me hyped beond believe for the sims 2.

Thanks for the video! I also LOVVE how you design your loots. It's so good and could be an official Sims 1 lot with your designs!

Horrible update! EA shut down The Sims Music Archive just like they slowly and brutally killed Maxis. Their evil knows no bounds! EA is part of a larger ring of criminal organizations trying to ban books, shut down libraries & local newspapers and destroy internet archives. UMG, Hachette and other companies are attacking The Internet Archive now too. Don't let these corporations block access to what we the public are ENTITLED to! Save libraries and archives from this horrible threat! Creators WANT their work to be shared and accessible. Corporations want creator's work locked behind a paywall.

oh my god that explains a lot why I can mimic American accent pretty well even if I started learning English at 14, I used to play the sims 1 and 2 all the time as much as I remember, like 3 years old or something. the accent sticks to me I guess although English wasn’t even in the game to begin with.

Even better if your teacher knew what that came from, and thought you were making fun of them for liking what was essentially a barbie's playhouse game.

Maximus, Valentino and Snooty Patooty required an additional download to work on my game. Otherwise, they'd crash my game when trying to import them. You can also do a work around to have all these families in the same neighbourhood. With their original homes too. You'll have to google the link with instructions.

I loved the paparazzi coming to my house and the stalker. I felt that my SIM was actually a celebrity

So I have these dreams, right. In my dreams, I am in an auditorium at a stand-up comedy show. Since my brain can't come up with a good punch line on the fly, it makes the comedian speak in a way that sounds like this. It is incredibly funny and I laugh so much in my dreams that it makes me laugh in my sleep loud enough for others to hear. So, I was trying to explain how it sounds to someone, and he told me that it sounded like Simlish. I looked into it, and it is ALMOST EXACTLY like Simlish, and I think that makes the whole thing even more hilarious.

The quirkiness of ts1 - ts2 can only be imitated but never duplicated. Ts4 tries really hard to be eccentric but comes off annoying and shallow

It’s funny how much restrictions there were in the celebrity sims compared to the black eyed peas in the Urbz. They could pee themselves, pass out, set themselves on fire and choke on swords. Even one of the quests literally require you to assault Fergie. That’s just scratching the surface.

I recreated the Hicks (and a knock off Bachelor) in my recent Sims 2 game. Elden fell in love with Mike Bachelor in my Sims 1 game, so I figured I'd get them properly married in the sequel.

In the Sims 2 for PlayStation2, the opening cutscene features a sim telling a horror story to other sims around a bonfire, only to be jumped by a screaming ghost who sends them all running in terror. So it may not be entirely forgotten
