Really interesting interview, especially because it covers multiple industries. I just have one remark/question about what Mark Billige is saying at minute 10:00 - price increases dropping directly to the margin. Wouldn't the volume go down with the price increase, pushing up the fixed cost per unit and eventually leading to margin increase much lower than the price increase?

@c.d.5642 Жыл бұрын

1:56 if you're not capturing all that inflationary increase, you're going backwards. 3:18 volume winner, cost winner, price winners 3:35 price be above, around or below the inflations 4:21 their is still muscle memory. 4:51 increase pricing w/o waking the sleepers: who are quite happy to pay for it. 5:39 price increase process. 5:52 derogation: distraction from law. 7:02 a flat vanilla spread 7:51 actually somewhat intuitively, i think we typically find the companies that are paying the highest prices are the most appreciative of value delivered and thus absorb a higher increase. 8:33 the best thing a salesperson can sell is price increase. 8:40 skin in the game: have a personal investment in an organization or undertaking, and therefore a vested interest in its success. 8:50 pocket: verb. (slang) To take and keep (especially money) that which is not one's own. verb. (slang) To shoplift, to steal. 9:08 the way to do this is to track: steer/ counter-steer --- transition word: there's a very good chance they're going to go backwards. --- configure the level: 1. high-level strategy 2. product specific targets 7:26 3. customer specific targets: tail customers and key account customers

0:35 SMEs business 0:52 on one hand: volume/ demand increases and on the other hand: cost efficiencies. 1:03 price increased realization that is lower than ever before. 1:06 identified best practices.those companies enhance profits despite difficulties and we see six behaviors. 1:36 value-based pricing instead of cost-based pricing. 1:41 link the price of a product to a certain value drivers. 5:02 offset higher price pressure. it has two topics: 1. servitization: offer higher value to service 2. challenge revenue model: how you can charge for your product portfolio. 5:34 a quick win: already have a price 5:41 more midterm: find a price that you don't have a price yet. 5:48 airport restructuring: at night is even more dangerous and difficult, thus you can rationalize the higher price. 6:07 Commoditization occurs when the market perceives products to be substitutable --> commoditized products/ market/ industry. 6:14 there are always options to differentiate your offers. 6:55 capture recurring revenue & build more customer centricity around the model 7:06 customer strategy: acquisition, retaining, and monetization. 7:24 you have a logic in pricing architecture you recommend to the trade. 7:52 corrective measures when you get to three net price 8:00 what we recommend is that a local list price that is close to the international list price should be. 8:52 on KVIs, on prominent lines, but not on profit lines. 9:06 retailer clients are frequently aligned pricing to competitors even when their costumer are not relatively price sensitive. 9:34 category basket effect. ------ transition word 5:40 next to that on more midterm 5:48 as a third example ------ 3:32 blanket的三個意思. a blanket ban:全面禁止。 The village were blanketed in fog.

0:05 behavioral economics and AI technologies deliver: deeper customer engagement. 0:39 build smart, satisfying customer sales journeys. 0:50 Nudge theory is a concept in behavioral economics, political theory, and behavioral sciences that proposes positive reinforcement and indirect suggestions as ways to influence the behavior and decision-making of groups or individuals. Nudging contrasts with other ways to achieve compliance, such as education, legistration or enforcement.

Weiter so.

Hello, This is not a Tutorial but I subscribed and wants to be thankful as I did not about the concept of "face validity check". But the question is : when should we check if the recommandation is suspicious to increase or decrease the price because from what I have read this three days is that Dynamical Pricing allows the company to change its price in real time. So doing this face validity check will kill the real time price changing advantage. But corporates are adopting it though. Which means it is useful . Which means that there are only some cases where we have to check ? I would like to know in this case WHEN we should not trust the increase or decrease of the Machine Learning apart the case where the model is a Black-Box as he said only to be cautious for that... Thank you for the answer
