Better help is a very dodgy organization that has had to pay damages because it used and reviewed sensitive consumer information such as email addresses, IP addresses and answers to personal health questions for advertising purposes. A big turn off.

Do you need a vehicle on island or are there no roads?
@TheIslandLifeofUs4 күн бұрын
No roads here... only about 500m of foot path. We have recently got ourselves a couple of atv's but they have not landed on the island yet.. but thinking it will be nice not to have to hand carry everything!

Growing up in the Solomon Islands, the beautiful corals always fascinates me.. they’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.. as a child my people would have piles of different type of coral on a huge rock.. they put the corals there to attract fish.. but since the recent climate change thingy came in to place, all of them have died.. now the new generation won’t be able to enjoy the beauty of the corals😢.. saying this, while I’m only 25 is sad.. now the colourful corals can only be found in rare places..

Nature all around a great family in a remote Solomons Is. You may consider pressure canning on your essential food items like Amish Community does in USA! Greenery around your environment with ocean so close can't be traded! Just remain healthy all times!

I love freediving in the rain. I like to do long, shallow hangs, looking up at the raindrops hitting the surface. Are those new fins?

I love this!!! What you said really resonated with me and has just confirmed I am making some good decisions in my own life. I bought a camper and have started to work and travel. I am really enjoying it and don't want to return to the rat race. I am loving keeping things simple, having less and enjoying nature, especially snorkeling

Beautiful video 🩵🙏 My partner and I met and became friends whilst teaching scuba diving on a remote island, around 12 years ago and it was the happiest, most nature-connected time of my life. We became a couple 4 years ago and are on a path to build a more long-term sustainable version of that life for ourselves. This video was really inspiring and a great reminder to keep focussed on what’s important. Thank you

I have learnt so much about marine life watching your vlogs, especially the names of marine creatures. Risso's Dolphin is the new addition to my list. Love how Phily just skipped the 10 point system and gave a 15/15 for the food 😂😂 Merry Christmas from Chicago (windy city)
@TheIslandLifeofUs12 күн бұрын
Yes, the Risso’s are amazing to see! Those 15 out of 15 scores are always a great reminder that we don’t need to be perfect to be happy 😊 ... A big MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family Elvin. Leana via

The clips of the raindrops above and below the surface are just outstanding- totally mesmerizing. And while you may be on an island out in the wild, the “family adventure”, joy, frustration, hungry kids, where to stop, cuts bruises and tears - all lovingly familiar. 😄Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for transporting us to such a beautiful place with your family.

Merry Christmas to you and yours too! We love sharing our journey, even the messy parts as that is what life is right?! Glad you enjoyed the ep... the raindrops on the water were cool hey and even the sound of it as we freedived was really cool and different.. made the water extra cold for me LOL but I am very much acclimated haha

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!!! Glad you enjoyed the ep! Yes... the kitchen drawer step has been wonderful... It has a drop pin that locks when you pull it out so there's no accidents with it sliding in while kids are on it.. can be tricky to release to put it away but very necessary!

Hey Guys. Dolphins are one of my fav sea animals next to the sea horse. They are glorious animals. I've never seen that sort before. I'm sorry about your sore eye. Hope is got better quickly. Thankyou for taking us along on your ocean adventures. Question. Do you ever get to see any sea horses? Is that something in your beautiful ocean? If it is id love to see some please. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@TheIslandLifeofUs12 күн бұрын
Dolphins are the BEST!! We love them so much.. they never get boring! The Risso's are around this area but very special to see! Yes we do get seahorses here... in the seagrass of the lagoon a larger golden brown type and pygmy seahorses on fan corals deeper on the reef.. Will have to head out again soon for the seahorse footage... it's been a while!

Good one with the life jackets. Not enough people do that in the Solomons. Too many lost at sea with an overloaded boat and no life jackets. Iu meanim …

Your footage is amazing as always! It's healthy for kids to experience disappointment, and discontent (I felt for Arlo - I love watching rain... but from under a roof hehe). Fresh fish on the beach looked fantastic. Oh and so many dolphins!! Merry Christmas from a Kiwi in South Carolina, USA.
@TheIslandLifeofUs13 күн бұрын
I think all up we had SIX pods of dolphins on this day... we didn't film them all.. but they are just such magical creatures and it never gets boring to enjoy their company in the wild! The beach food was great... sad we didn't capture the prep and cooking of it so much.. but next time!!! Well a big Merry Christmas to you too from these Aussies in the South Pacific :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours! Every Momma knows the feelings of frustration and sadness when our children argue and push each other's buttons. Our boys are teenagers and it never ends! They won't remember that when they look back, only the special memories you are creating. I know it can be exhausting though! Remind Philly and Arlo that Santa is watching!! 🎅 😉 Great catch, Ophelia! Looks like she caught a yummy lunch! Hope Santa is good to you both and can't forget Darwin! Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
@TheIslandLifeofUs13 күн бұрын
One minute they’re best of friends and the next they turn in each other. Arlo and Ophelia are only 18 months apart so there’s also that competitiveness too. I really wanted some pleasant baking but I should have guessed on that day it wasn’t going to go well lol. But you’re so right… it’s the special memories that keep ✨🫶🏼 sending loads of festive love your way!

@TheIslandLifeofUs I get it! Too well! Lol Our youngest are 13 and 14 and we never know how it's going to go from one min to the next! 😏 It's actually gotten better as they have gotten older. They are better at separating themselves and going to their own rooms and cooling down before it comes to blows or tears or this Mom yelling! They have a best friend for life and I love that for them. Don't feel bad about taking a time out for yourself either, Kate. We all need some "me" time and you deserve it. I know time is valuable and not enough minutes in the day, but even if you take a 10 min reset it can make all the difference!

Happy Holidaze from Vancouver, Canada 🙂 I don't know what kind of dolphins we have here, but, often I do see them swimming/jumping/racing next to the ferry, along with orcas & humpback whales (april-oct) I love your videos. Spectacular footage!! My Xmas treat is Butter Tarts (brown sugar & raisins in pastry) I will look for gingerbread recipe! Happy 2025
