For anyone who received a wobbly stainless steel base part on their ember mic like me: Take out the xlr pins like in the video by screwing in the set screw and pull it out, that will reveal 2 phillips head screws behind it which I tightened up to fix the wobble. Another example of poor quality control, but at least an easy fix!

Hey brother, thank you for your videos. I live in Texas and I recently installed this pump. Running into electrical issues - it seems that maybe the pump is overheating during hot days? I dont know why but it'll flip a breaker every once in a while. Have you any experience with that? Has your light bulbs prevented components from freezing during those deep freezes or did you use a heater? And finally are you going to upgrade to a bigger pump and pressure tank? I mean that drummond pump has a little tiny tank so it has to run a lot right? Appreciate your time my man.

I have a 1,300 gal. storage tank to water the vegetable garden. The tank is located about 75 feet away and is 20 feet higher elevation than the Drummond pump. I connected the pump to the storage tank and the pump is always running short cycle. Do I need a check valve on the input to the pump even if my water source is higher elevation than the pump? I assumed you only need a check valve if water source was from a lower elevation like a well.

I literally am where you are except that I’ve learned the answer is absolutely! Just installed my valve today and all my problems went away!

@@lucycats6282 Me too. We now have three 1,300 gal. tanks connected together into a water hose manifold (used as a 3 to 1 hose combiner instead of a hose splitter) with a single poly pipe going downhill to the water pump. It's amazing that the check valve stops the water from being pushed back up the hill and the tank pressure stays high. My next project is a wireless water level gauge.

Hi Terry. Unfortunately it won’t draw up water. I use it to pump water through our house from an above ground tank. We do have a water well that is deeper than 400ft., but that is a separate system altogether.
@wildmanofborneo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Terry, to get water from a deep well you need something called a submersible pump. It pushes the water up.....suction-type pumps can't get below "vacuum", which corresponds to about 14 psi at sea level, so a "vacuum" can only pull up a column of water that is around 25 ft or something in that neighborhood (the pump can't pull a perfect vacuum, of course). There are also "jet pumps" but they still can't get down to hundreds of feet.

I was just diagnosed with IPF a year after surviving Covid, I had the pneumonia from August-December 2020. I knew I probably had PF by spring of this year, I felt better around February then declined, and my CT from December looked worse than when I still had the active virus. Definitely also running into a lot of red tape. Insurance doesn't want to pay, but I told them no medications means more hospitalizations and a lung transplant, which are even more expensive than these pills! Thank goodness for insurance! Now I know why they send referrals to so many support programs. We need all the help we can get. Navigating this illness is so complex, and my pulmonologist is overrun with Delta variant patients now, so that's not helping my case. My goal is to keep my own lungs as long as possible! I am the most worried about the monthly liver function tests, I am a very difficult stick. Trying to advocate for a port, because I get frequent bloodwork and IVs for other conditions also. I can't believe it has already been a year already, August 25 was my 1 year "Covidversary". Thank you for sharing your story, you're the first person I've found going through a similar situation post-Covid. Good luck to you!

Looks similar to a disease called sarcoidosis, so I'm just on prednisone to try to keep the inflammation under control. It seems hyper-inflammation has been the problem for me. My treatment team says it's still such a new illness, they're learning more about it all the time. So we have to keep hoping and yes have faith!
