Oh no get well and feel better soon. It’s the huge weather change about to occur with the Thanksgiving storm moving in and that air is so dense cold moist air, the worst kind for weather pain. Should get a bit better this weekend as the pressure equals out with drier air.

hello Mark here it is 1028pm i just got up about 930 pm temp 38f went to bed extemely early it is drippin rain at 930 when i got up i believe it started about that time still drippin at the moment waiting the Lake Effect Machine to get turned on .!!! and i see many channels have a big differce in totals for areas near the lake effect i understand it is hard to tell just how fast it can come i hear it could be 1-----3 inches a hour YUP all depends on lot of variants of things

Well, first happy Thanksgiving. I suppose you’re not making a video tomorrow. That’s why there’s one on tonight. It will be at see if maybe just maybe see one more one more storm for the 2024 but I should also mention if we go to 2025 and we see activity in January it would get the name Andrea which first name of the 2025 hurricane season. Thankfully, the balloons will fly despite beneficial rain they goodness the winds won’t be a concern, but behind the Thanksgiving storm, we can get the coldest air of the season from the Arctic and Canada. Well, we might be in a blow pattern for the first half of December. I do expect the vast majority of winter we’re gonna be above average in terms of temperatures but we may have occasional cold shots, but they should be brief.

Happy Thanksgiving, definitely glad to provide a good weather update before our Thanksgiving Holiday as you are right, no video tomorrow. That would be remarkable if we had a storm into January, hoping we can get that dry air across all of the Caribbean, but I am starting to think that southern portion of the Caribbean will really hold on to moist tropical air. I agree with you on the winter, likely above average across the Mid Atlantic & Coastal Northeast.

Great question, The best chance for a blizzard to take shape would be the Midwest through the Great Lakes region mainly January into early February when the pattern really starts to align well. Very popular storm track will be from the Ohio Valley to the eastern Great Lakes.

January looks like the best chance for a potential blizzard in Northern Ohio. Could be a very exciting month. Pattern gets better amplified with sustained cold air outbreaks and bigger storms.

I keep hearing about a weak La Nina that keeps getting kicked down the road. It was supposed to happen earlier, but it has not happened yet. Most of the models are pointing towards a neutral phase.

Keeping a close watch on this, as you are right the models do seem to keep picking on it but it never quite materializes. We do start to head toward that neutral phase rapidly toward the end of January.

New Jersey had the 6th warmest winter on record in 23-24 and the 2nd warmest winter on record in 22-23. We barely got any snow in 22-23 and we got some good snowfalls in 23-24 but nothing major and we were still below average for snowfall. I really hope we get a winter like 2013-2014, 2014-15 or 2017-18 when we got a ton of snowfall overall and each month got at least one or two storms with at least a half foot.

I have high hopes that this winter will break this 5-6 year snow drought we are in. This could be our best shot at getting closer to average. It is tought to break a several year trend but conditions and parmeters are already starting off slightly better for snow and more sustained cold chances going into December.

Great question, the 10% means +10% above average and the -10% means 10% below average. Your area for example would be in the neutral zone between the +10% above average snow northwest of you, and the yellow zone -10% below average snow southeast of you. For temperatures I am expecting slightly above average temperatures for you.

Very rare snow ❄️❄️ here in Chambersburg Pennsylvania and Hagerstown Maryland. New seasonal average 15 INCHES. Not 34"!! 😢😢

Climate Change is responsible for snow free winters. East Coast winters non-existent for many years NOW and soon to be a thing of the past. East Coast will NEVER EXPERIENCE ANY TRUE CLASSIC EAST COAST WINTERS EVER AGAIN ALSO. Climate Change largest problem

I agree that those very harsh winters from decades ago are gone. The climate has definitely did a big change on us that ends in winters getting shorter and hurricane seasons getting longer unfortunately.

Definitely hoping for that, as it is hinting a little with the neutral phase come later winter. If we can get a good snowpack going in Canada mid winter it may really help us get some sustained cold outbreaks but it has been really tough lately. I do think though this winter will be a bit more active snow and storm wise than the past couple of winters.

@@Meteomark From what I have seen in quite a few reports from then, 3 systems came together by the Toledo Ohio area . It was not fun let me tell you. Now I am even a lot older, so I keep my eyes wide open

If your snow lover over the past couple of winters, we had below average snowfall in five out of the six pats winters And above average temperatures Nine out the 10 past winters and four being in the top 10 warmest on record. One thing is important to realize that earth is covered and 71% water And that’s a big, determining factor of what the weather patterns are like across the world when you have a bath average temperatures on the Atlantic that craigs high-pressure in the south, and I could bring an above average temperatures in the northeast. So it could be near a tossup weather now if we get rain snow or A mix because we are likely will be on the Mild side. But I think the best chance of seeing snow this year will be in the great lakes set up in Northern New England. One thing it’s important realize because of climate change winter is the fastest warming season of all the four seasons in the United States. So I think we’re here where I live it’s likely going to be above average temperatures near average precipitation, but leaning towards below average snowfall that is not necessarily mean we will see snow. But in the near term we have called Canadian air coming in while we were in below average roll up in the yard again close above average so we could be in a cold pattern for a little bit in the first half of December būt I think the vast majority of winter will be above average in terms of temperatures. So if your a snow lover the odd are not good, sorry!

Definitely agree and looking that way in and around much of the Mid Atlantic & coastal northeast. Only those areas further north toward the Great Lakes that can get those sustained cold air outbreaks can see some better chances of snowfall. It is hard to break a 5-6 year snow drought.

Great question, I do think the area of Roatan & Belize area will be on the northern side of the tropical wave or potential storm. I don’t think this will become a hurricane. Still you are likely to see some days with a fair bit of rainfall as this system likely remains at either a tropical disturbance, depression, or weak tropical storm. The good news is the areas you will be cruising in will likely be on the northern periphery of the system which would lessen the rain and small wind potential. I think you will be safe. Enjoy your cruise, later the first week of December it does start to clear up a bit as I think the landfall will be a little to the South in Nicaragua.

You are awesome at your reports. Looks like I will be shoveling Fri and Sat after Thanksgiving. Then the 1st few days of December. This report made my mind up. Hitting the grocery store in the AM on Monday.. Stocking up to hunker down after Thanksgiving... You are the best... From what I believe I saw is 10 Inches from Fri after Gobble Gobble day thru the 3rd of Dec??? Stay safe my friend
