Watching from Miami-Dade. The shift south...
@Meteomark2 сағат бұрын
I will keep you posted on this trend, as it may continue shifting based on the trough lifting across the North Central & Northeast Gulf these next few days. It may end up meaning further impacts for Miami-Dade area. I will keep the updates coming, thanks for watching.

I’m in Coral Springs but work in Dade and I was worrying about the shift as well 🙏🏾

My local meteorologist said it will probably only hit as a tropical storm so I'm honestly not even worried about it. Been in the Tampa area forever and nothing ever happens. Fear monger away though .
@danielhady3021Сағат бұрын
I think it'll hit as a Cat 2 or 3 storm. Just really depends on how much and how quickly the storm weakens.

Mark, we are still having 100% humidity ! Cant take it anymore ! 😪
@MeteomarkСағат бұрын
It truly is awful, can't wait for us to get some of that dry Canadian air coming mid to late week to scour out that humidity. It seems to be really bad at night too these days where the fog rolls in with 100% humidity too. I am definitely up for some drier air too which hopefully is coming mid to late week.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Miami and Broward County feels hurricane force wind gust from Milton
@Meteomark2 сағат бұрын
That is quite possible, as the wind radius will expand in a huge way as it nears the west coast of Florida. This storm may end up being larger in size that Hurricane Helene was, and that was a very large storm.
@johnnyfrancois94912 сағат бұрын
@@MeteomarkIt seems like this year Florida just been the hit zone for these hurricane landfalls this season I am praying for Tampa and all of Florida period especially after Helene this is definitely an active hurricane season

Ok Folks my Prediction is becoming very true.... For those who didn't know I had forecast 3-4 Named storms to hit Florida we already have 2 Debby and Helene... Now it looks Milton... Could Nadine?
@MeteomarkСағат бұрын
Definitely watching that possibility, your prediction is likely coming true with these storms late season. It is looking like a bad situation, one right after another. And that next storm behind it later next weekend, that may try to come north out of the Caribbean.

Ever other model says south of Tampa
@bryancenterfitt7127Сағат бұрын
One or two models had shown that second storm possible crossing Florida and going up the eastern seaboard.
@MeteomarkСағат бұрын
That is something that needs to be watched, I was going through the models and saw that on one of the runs as well. Going to start updating on that possibility as we get closer, as it is only about a week away.
@bryancenterfitt712759 минут бұрын
@Meteomark Yeah, I noticed that myself. Being that I am in south Georgia, I keep a constant eye on the tropics. The one thing that really bothered me regarding Helen, when it hit Valdosta, NWS nor anything local channel forecasted the change in direction. We got lucky, while others were not. One of many reasons I watch the models when they are updated.

Every other meteorologist says it makes landfall on Wednesday
@MeteomarkСағат бұрын
It is likely to make landfall in Florida mid to late afternoon Wednesday, I was just showing the HWRF hurricane model how much slower it was in bringing in Hurricane Milton and compared to the faster evolution of the Euro & GFS run bringing it in Wednesday.
@AlexJones-w6b2 сағат бұрын
I'm still worried about it shifting south into Sarasota or Bradenton.
@Meteomark2 сағат бұрын
Definitely watching and concerned for areas from Sarasota & Bradenton with not only that shift southward but the potential for this storm to be stronger and have a much larger eye wall. I will keep you posted and updated.
@LEGENDS65982 сағат бұрын
Isn't the latest model showing it making landfall in Sarasota?

Happy Sunday and Monday to you my favorite friend!! CAT 4 hurricane likely for Florida! My team sucks this year Alabama. Did you find out about me wanting to be certified as trained weather spotter like costs or I have to sign up? For now, I work tomorrow through Friday eight hours a day. Tampa Bay extreme risk for flying trampolines and fishnados. More like adios trampolines 😅😂
@Meteomark2 сағат бұрын
Happy Sunday & Monday to you and yours as well my friend! Cat 4, and do I dare say this storm may briefly touch Category 5. I did find out some details on Skywarn Spotter info for your area, and it is free, covered by your region from NWS State College PA and the website link is here www.weather.gov/ctp/SkyWarn they have both in person and virtual sessions which makes it convenient and changes on a weekly and monthly basis. Tampa Bay is going to be crazy, flying trampolines and fishnadoes for sure. Crazy times, this week will be crazy with this hurricane.

How wide this storm is
@Meteomark2 сағат бұрын
It is crazy how wide this storm will become, right now as of 5PM Sunday, it is up to 25 miles from the center of Hurricane force wind, and up to 85 miles from the center of tropical storm force wind. By Wednesday this storm is likely to grow to hurricane force wind extending outward up to 100 miles which could make hurricane force wind 200 miles wide, and tropical storm force wind up to 250 miles from the center of circulation, which could put us at 500 miles wide in a few days time. Watching this development closely.

Very true, as it is concerning with the slight shift southward today, along with the fact that we may be looking at a much stronger storm, and bigger wind field. Is it possible for these 2 storms to merge?
@MeteomarkСағат бұрын
That is a distinct possibility, I didn't even think of that, especially if the extra tropical low pressure left over from Milton sticks around off the Southeast Coast, it could merge with the next storm.
