Just curious but how do you feel about Tarantino comments on Marvel actors and how marvel movies killed the term movie star.

The most shocking part is someone at Capcom really liking Howard the Duck. From the sounds of it, its not even the Marvel Comics character they like, its the version from the 1987 movie. I mean, I'd be down for it just for the "didn't see that coming" value.

If SEGA were to make a crossovers fighter with their franchises I want to see Jack Cayman from Platinum’s MadWorld. I know MadWorld is probably one of if not the most goriest games on the Wii but I think SEGA and Platinum could figure out how to implement him in a family friendly fighting game. I also hope your having a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

After seeing so many times MVCI's story, especially Jedah and Morrigan's dialogues, I came up with the theory that Lilith was going to be in the base roster of MVCI replacing Morrigan, but the devs changed their minds at the last minute Lilith is closer to Jedah than Morrigan It would make more sense to be Lilith the one who wants to talk with Jedah Jedah is Lilith's father/creator, and she worked for him during the events of Vampire Savior But that is just my fan theory

Cut to present day: Marvel is now held by Disney, who, depending on how permissive they are, could say yes more easily. Or not. Memory issues are no longer a problem. The smallest immersive game iirc is at least 30 gigabytes. There's more tools now available to streamline production, including 3D. DLC, patching, and global reach. We need a real MVC4 and maybe an officially revamped Infinite.

smash 64 seems to have 2 different pal releases (on top of the japanese and american releases both also being different), one for europe and one for australia, but the differences are so undocumented that its hard to even tell if its true without testing it

Zero's buster being inconsistent was even poked fun in the Rockman X manga, IIRC. That thing is always either too beat up to use OR it gets damaged or destroyed outright. Hell, pretty sure that got carried over to X5 too where if you play as X, Zero's buster got damaged to the point of it can't be used (if you play as Zero, you lose Fourth Armor X)

The Iron Man Acclaim game actually has a list of Marvel characters it uses in the game during the opening trademark crawl! So the characters off limits were: Iron Man, Arnim Zola, Blackout, Baron Zemo, Yellowjacket, Absorbing Man, Titania, Goliath, Melter, Mr. Hyde and Doughboy.

MVC isn’t the only game series that Marvel was difficult to work with because apparently their were a pain to work with which is funny considering that Disney (sadly) owns Marvel but from what I heard apparently the Disney Infinity team encountered similar issues with Marvel forbidding the promotion of their characters alongside Disney’s in advertisements. I won’t lie but Marvel has always struck as a corporate company because of how their particular they are on how they want they portrayed and maybe it’s just me but I get the impression that some of the directors behind Marvel movies want to make a superhero film with some artistic merit but their ambition is held back due to Disney wanting to put out a film that appeals to broad demographic rather than make so unique because their afraid of being experimental with one of their films and being called pretentious.

To this day I still believe that fighting games limiting their roster with excuses like “this character is a god” “this character is too powerful” “this character doesn’t fit” or “this character is a child” are just that mere excuses Anything can fit into a fighting game There’s no need to strictly adhere to a character’s canon traits for them to work in a game For example it doesn’t matter if a character can supposedly snap everyone out of existence with a blink Just give them abilities that deal damage in a balanced way and the job is done Being a god or an overwhelmingly powerful character is not a valid excuse for excluding them as a playable fighter The point of a fighting game is to have fun and enjoy seeing diverse characters clash even if it doesn’t make logical sense A god of destruction fighting a simple soldier who can only jump high Why not The soldier’s bullets might not kill the god but could function as projectiles that deal damage because in a fighting game balance and gameplay come first not strict realism The same applies to “weird” or unconventional character designs That’s not a valid reason to exclude them either In a fighting game anything is possible Even a dog can work as a fighter with a little creativity You just need imagination to design a moveset that makes sense in the context of the game Similarly the argument that “this character doesn’t fight” is weak Non-fighting characters can fit into fighting games perfectly well Phoenix Wright is a great example He doesn’t physically attack he just does the same things he does in his main games like presenting evidence and it works Even a character like Hello Kitty could fit She wouldn’t attack intentionally instead her moves could involve throwing cakes riding a bicycle or waving hello dealing damage in quirky gimmicky ways Including such characters can even add comedic value by showing them in ridiculous but entertaining matchups like fighting a god of destruction in a “serious vs comedy” dynamic The “child” argument is also weak as seen with Anita Fighting isn’t bound by age Mega Man is a childlike robot Roll fights too and Anita already in a fighting game as a secret character was excluded from Marvel vs Capcom 3 for no good reason If the issue is her being a child you could always use her adult version Anita when she went to kill Dee Even size shouldn’t matter If the character is a giant like a universe-sized being who cares Just make them a boss character showing only part of their body on-screen as seen with characters like Apocalypse or Galactus Lastly Riot Games refusing to include Yordles in their fighting game because of their small size is another weak excuse Height has never been an issue in fighting games Look at characters like Neco-Arc or Servbot they’re tiny yet they fight perfectly fine against massive characters like Onslaught Sentinel or Abyss in his third lava form In the end everything can fit perfectly into a fighting game It’s just a matter of creativity and finding ways to make it work For last, non popular and "literally who?" characters don’t apply either You can take a character no one knows that just sold one comic to a single person and make them work, That’s the magic of fighting games Literally no one knew who Shuma-Gorath was and now he’s popular because of the fighting game rather than his own comics Even the creators themselves didn’t know he existed If the character has an interesting design you can make them work regardless

The case for War Machine's theme having a chunk referencing Iron Man's theme is what's referred to as a Leitmotif, often explained as a melodic 'phrase', used to evoke the feeling associated with that track relating to a previous entry, be it idea, location, or character. A very notable and easy leitmotif to recognize from gaming is in Undertale, with many of the tracks using the same melody from the prologue cutscene and title screen, if you can imagine what that sounds like in your head you can probably think about the other scenes in the game which branch from this original composition. (It's not the only leitmotif in the either.) Some music involving these melodic phrases extends through the whole song, while some leitmotifs occur in very brief segments, being a minor hook that our brain catches onto and associates the track with another. This being the reason why War Machine's theme would be misconcieved as a 'remix', instead of having a lietmotif of Iron Man's theme.

I just realize another issues if physical media does disappear in the future. I don’t think it can’t go unnoticed that film releases have gotten bigger and bigger as of late with $250 million budgets used to be the exception now it’s the rule and the reason for that is because those quirky indie films or teen comedies or gritty cop dramas that came out in the late 90s or early 2000s didn’t make money at the cinema but thanks to DVD sales it turns the films from being forgotten into timeless classics. Streaming on the other hand I think will ruin future cult classic films due to how much garbage is put out on streaming services and It will bury actual high quality films. This is more of an personal problem but I also think this could affect foreign films too because while I love to go the theaters a lot of stuff that play at movie chains is mostly corporate blockbuster schlock and foreign film tend to only play in bigger cities so I have to rely on physical media to watch newer foreign films but if that day comes when home media dies out then that means I can’t watch newer foreign films unless it’s Criterion.

Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper (SEGA NAOMI) This update is based off the Dreamcast "Saikyo Dojo" version and includes all available characters from the PS1/DC version, VMU functionality where you can play as the character you leveled up in the console World Tour mode, and has some alleged gameplay bug/glitch fixes. This update actually wasn't well liked Japanese arcades and the original CPS-2 version is still the preferred among competitive players even today.

I don’t know why but I’ve always found the villain in the Marvel villains so bland compared to other movie villans and that’s mainly due to each Marvel film following the same plot of “my flawless protagonist beats this evil guy” plot line over and over again. I tend to prefer villains in movies that are real people rather than powerful gods because I tend to find film villains who are real people to be more threatening compared to powerful gods like Loki and Thanos. Some of my favorite movie villains that are real people are Nurse Ratched and Frank Booth from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and Blue Velvet because both characters had more motivation and dimension compared to marvel villains who’s motivation is mostly just destroy the world.

I honestly wish Tekken devs weren't afraid of making character spin-offs like the ones you just mentioned. A hack-n-slash Yoshimitsu game, or maybe Stealth Action with Victor/Raven sounds incredibly nice. As for Mortal Kombat, no, I don't find your comment to be controversial, in fact I keep saying that Midway/NRS are NOT good fighting game makers, like, at all... ...However you look at their action-focused catalog with Shaolin Monks being on top, but also the Shenmue-feeling Deception's Konquest, or incredibly fun Armageddon's Konquest. And you start to wonder why instead of focusing in fighting games, they don't just games like these, they are incredibly good, there is a reason why these hold a special place with everyone. My last recommendation for a topic like this, though my picks are incredibly niche. Are Psychic Force Puzzle Bobble, and Karel/Luka from Senko no Ronde in Mamoru-Kun. The first as mentioned, are an entire spin-off revolving Psychic Force characters, a pretty obscure yet very cool fighting game being made into the Puzzle Bobble engine, cute. Senko no Ronde is a special case... In Karel's bad ending, they both die due to the incidents of the story, and Mamoru-kun is a game all about Yokais and Japanese ghost stories, Karel and Luka mention they got there due to that bad ending, essentially putting alternate universe existence into the lore, and also somehow confirming that the entire G.Rev universe, devs of those games and some other Shmups primarily, might be connected with one to the other. (Senko no Ronde DUO, the sequel, confirms Border Down is also connected to the series as well) Senkoro is not a fully traditional fighting game, though no matter how you look at it, it's a fighting game with shmup gameplay, I gladly recommend all games mentioned, original or the spin-offs. Great videos btw! Just found out your channel and honestly would love to see more content like this, your channel is truly great!

9:30 My favourite one being Call of Duty Black Ops II... Published by Square Enix This sort of thing is extremely common, sure, but it's still very wild to see SEGA (or Konami during the PS1) publish some IPs that seemingly have nothing to do with them. What? Wesker is also an unlockable in GTA:SA Japan, and Cloud's Sword is usable on CoD Zombies? (no, but would be pretty dope ngl)
