Would P0772:00-27 (Shift Solenoid 'E' Stuck On) that occurred 1 time be more likely the valve or just dirty fluid? I’m assuming it’s not electrical. Changed the fluid/ filter at 30k miles, it was burnt but metal seemed normal. Code occurred at 50k, and it’s been about 1000 miles since it occurred. Changing the fluid/filter next week, but is there anything else I can check without pulling the valve body? Also, for reference… stock power, Lund tune, very few shift issues, car has hit mid 250s trans temp on track a couple times but no change in performance after cooling. Any insight is appreciated, thanks.

Hey bro. I have a ford e350 with 4r75e the van started vibrating really bad in drive at 40 mph past 80 + just started getting worse. The drive shaft can wiggle up and down. I think It's excessive. I also just noticed the transmission making a humming werling , power steering pump type of sound. In park reverse and drive. It doesn't make the noise in neutral. Any help would be appreciated. Great video also. Tons of information.
Just drop and break off a Piece of the transmission and just flick it off the table like we didn’t see that piece off aluminum that just broke off because you didn’t put it on a proper stand! WTF! Flick flick, nothing to see here. Looking at it like holt shit there goes a tooth I have to bill that costumer another 600$ do to my mistake! Holy shit. Am I being plunked here🤔😬🤪🫣😬

I have a question about my 4R75E transmission. I just got a new one put in & I've had a knock sound since. I was dealing with my exhaust concurrently and thought i still had a leak. When i shift from park into gear it "clanks". You hear the knock/tapping bouncing off of buildings in drive thrus etc, which is why I thought that was exhaust & the clanking was u joints. Had a shop tell me that whoever put my transmission left some loose torque converter bolts or something and to take it back.. I did and they said the torque converter bolts were tight & to have a specialized transmission shop take a look. (The place who did it only replaces). It sounds like its definitely in the bell housing and there its a tiny wobble when it spins- you can see through part of the flex plate but doesnt look like it barely wobbles enough to cause a knock? What could this be Im going crazy as if i get this replaced again, ill be out of labor cost for another replacement and no warranty left if its just a pure fault of parts.

Nelson love the content. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have a 2005 5R110 that needs rebuilt so I’m doing a lot of research on what I should be looking for when I buy a rebuilt trans. I am intimidated from doing transmission work but I can rebuild motors, so it was an idea I was entertaining doing myself, might just leave it to the professionals though.

Hey Marco! How did this situation end up? I am looking at rebuilding/refreshing a 2005 myself right now. I'm gonna do the valve body but am wondering if it's worth also doing the torque converter without a full rebuild. I don't know about you but I had a lot of metal in my trans fluid :D
@marcopineda22496 ай бұрын
@@brendanchapman3 I ended up buying a used trans for $350 and putting it in. I looked up rebuilding everything and for the prices of everything I wanted to do it would’ve just been easier to buy a Warren trans. My used trans is holding up okay but I know it’s just a matter of time. If you’re finding metal in your trans it’s most likely from your clutch packs or torque converter.

@blueovalsolutions12492 жыл бұрын
Hey Frank, not necessarily a new transmission, but definitely needs to be pulled down, torn down and inspected. Noise from these transmissions is Al aways an indication of on coming failure. These units are fairly inexpensive and readily available, so it is cost effective to replace it. If you’re in a pinch for time and no units are available for whatever reason, than rebuilding is still reasonably cost effective, the only difference between a remanufactured unit and rebuilt unit is degree of quality and warranty, quality being surprisingly better rebuilt vs remanufactured in some cases
@blueovalsolutions12492 жыл бұрын

@blueovalsolutions12492 жыл бұрын
Of the OD light is flashing, you’re having noise and engagement issues, it’s likely the no7 or 8 bearing has failed and the planetary gear set and direct cylinder collided and possibly fused together. I recommend removing the transmission pan, looking for irregularly sized metal, shark chunks and a magnet that looks like a porcupine, if you see this, it’s time to pull the transmission out for repair or replacement

@andresrazo73172 жыл бұрын
So does everything that’s damaged on that transmission is that what the company supplies like everything to fix the issues ?
@blueovalsolutions12492 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t, there are 3 different kits, each spec’d for a horsepower range. What will help with the issues is a good a tune. The factory programming isn’t horrible but it’s clunky. You can stick with sport mode and should be good. Issues with the CDF drum bushing are repaired by replacing the drum, they’re inexpensive, bout a $100. The wear in the VB is due to the PWM, which goes back to factory programming.

You could, but you run the chance of failure, I think repairing and upgrading is the way to go, it’s more cost effective long term. The transmission is actually a very stout, wear components eventually wear out or prematurely fail. I would recommend, build it with a reputable builder, do the necessary upgrades, put an tune on it and enjoy.

Thank you 🙏🏽. It’s just like anything else out there. The solutions to these issues came out pretty quick, it’s just now they’re significantly way more of these out there and with that more failures. The biggest issue I find with these has been factory programming. The tuned 10 speeds I’ve seen have held up ok. Most of the time the this upgrade is a preventative measure. Handful of time I’ve done them after failure like this one.

@@blueovalsolutions1249 Sweet! Since I'm looking for an adapter plate to bolt on to my 460, it won't have to be so thick in order for the starter to have clearance to the flywheel. It seems that it has the old Ford/current GM starter location so it shouldn't be too much hassle to adapt the two (that is whenever a stand alone transmission controller/computer comes out). If you don't mind me asking what engine did this transmission come off of? Was it the Coyote or the Ecoboost? (I honestly forgot what engines were available for the Expedition LOL).
