The POTS medication Pyridostigmine is currently being studied to treat ME/CFS and exercise intolerance. Have they tried that one with you yet? It's been extremely helpful at managing my POTS, and also addresses my digestive issues. My POTS and other health issues are caused by hypermobile type Ehlers Danlos syndrome.

Hi Emily! This has to be my very favourite and most helpful vlog I found and used for a very long time. 💖 And I would love to see more, especially since the corona lockdown. Your making a relevant vlog would be most helpful. I hope you get to read this and respond. Stay safe, dear. And thank you again for helping us through these difficult times🌈

How did you get referred to the cardiologist? Is it the one in Southampton? I have ME & find standing still the most exhausting of all.
@EmilyCricket
@EmilyCricket 5 жыл бұрын
velvetrevolution07 My GP referred me to cardiology in Salisbury, they were good. I don’t know whether Southampton is good or not. I also got referred to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen’s Square, London. They’re the ones who thoroughly checked there was nothing else going on and got me the medication midodrine which has been really good for me. You could try contacting NHNN, specifically the autonomic unit for advice on how to get referred. Hope this helps

Clonidine helped my PoTS significantly. I went from 140+ bpm standing (from 60) to 90 or so. Also eliminated 98% of dizziness. Later I started low dose naltrexone, and my excercise tolerance went up, not a lot, but enough not to be depressed about life. I found recovery from exertion was reduced from 2 weeks to about 5 days, with far less pain.

Hey there, Have had this for 25 years and something that has helped recently to help my energy was Malic Acid (Ultra ATP+, Double Strength by ProHealth - 1200 mg, 180 tablets)I have been through hell on Earth over my time and I understand your problems. This is just one of the many things that may help you so I offer it as advice and I hold no stake in this product as I can't stand people that try to sell you 'snake oil' for CFS as I must have spent a fortune in my time.Get a good probiotic for your stomach as well, cut out alcohol if you can still handle it, eat good food, cut down on sugar, rest...rest he says yeah like dead on the bed for 18 hours a day at one time!Don't blame yourself or feel guilt and don't try to exercise this awful disorder out of you, I tried and it made me 100 times sicker.I have been to every specialist at one time and going back to the mid 1990's you can imagine the shit I have taken, friends I have lost and life that has disappeared from me. Just take care and much love all

Hi! Just got diagnosed with ME/POTS. Unfortunately, here in France, there is only one expert in this. Many doctors attribute all of my symptoms to anxiety/depression. Which is a nonesense as I've been trying to explain them, my heartbeat goes up to 160 when standing. I'm in the first phase of the illness, each week the symptoms get worse and I am getting more and more tired. Nonetheless, I have started a proper diet and some natural remedies. I'm trying to stay positive. Thank you for your videos, it really helps a lot to see that you are not alone in this.
@EmilyCricket

You're welcome! I'm glad my videos help you. Good luck with finding helpful medical professionals to help you, I hope that gets better. Well done for trying to stay positive. I have found when I'm feeling negative I can't remember any of the things that cheer me up. So now I have a list that I can look at if I'm feeling down, and I'll choose to do something on that list to try and make myself feel better. I'm not sure if I've explained that very well, I hope it made sense!

Emily Cricket Perfectly makes sense 😊 Thank you for your response, I will try your trick, acknowledging what I am grateful for should definitively help. I have a question though, you mentionned in your previous video that you had a rough 6 months in your first phase of ME. I understand that it was a difficult period for you, but how did you manage through it and eventually how did you know that you started recovering from it? Thank you in advance for your help 😊
