How is this bag if it is strapped into a golf cart? I saw there’s a Velcro strap to hold the legs in, which means all the weight would be on the metal foot at the base. Any concerns with carting this bag? You think there is any way to disable the legs by removing the metal brackets? Thanks!

Loved my bag for two years, but then out of the blue, the bag ripped right where the cooler area meets the lower grab handles. Now my bag has a nice hole, about the size of a softball. Hopefully Jones will fix. I emailed them this morning to see what could be done. The bag looks so good and is very useful.

Interesting...did you find the cooler pockets didn't keep drinks cold because they weren't fully enclosed? For me, the best cooler pocket on a bag I've reviewed thus far is Sunday's Frosty Pocket.

Interesting, i tend to stand close to the ball , how long are the rods? Looks like i would hit myself
@GreatGolfReviews3 ай бұрын
Great question! The short rod is about 1.75 inches, the medium rod just under 4 inches, and the long rod is about 7.75 inches. Since it's helping you turn the clubface over on your backswing, you shouldn't have any issue with hitting your thigh. Plus, with the long rod, you're only taking half swings (waist-high). Hope this helps!

I think the weelender should be compared with the loma xl That would be a more fair comparison but just saying, great content man

Fair point - but I do love how there are more options in the Sunday category. The Loma XL can carry about 10 clubs and is closer in weight to the Ghost Weekender. I do love the Sunday brand

9:24 it looks like there are slots to run a cart strap through. I saw another review that looks like they used them when using a cart. Can you comment?
@GreatGolfReviews4 ай бұрын
Yes I think you're right - I gave that bag away to a follower so I don't have it anymore, but looking at old images there are some open straps around the top of the bag where you would pass a cart strap through for extra stability. Still, this is a bag designed for walkers, although it would have no issue riding on a cart. Good eye!

That is what they are used for. Our family has 3 of these. They are very narrow so those two straps help keep the cart bag holder strap secure and prevents the bag from twisting around

You have have to push the clubs down slightly. The system at the bottom of the bag is what keeps them in place, not really the rubber on top of the bag. Good review tho!
@GreatGolfReviews5 ай бұрын
Great point - I realized that after a few more rounds. The rubber grips on top of the bag do provide stability - primarily the shafts bouncing around and making noise in the cart. This is a great bag for people who want to protect their clubs, whether on the cart or in transit!

I love the minimalist design of the Jones bag. It's the one I want to buy...but...missing a quick access range finder pocket and the glove velcro patch is why I'm going Sunday. Feel like those two things on the Jones bag wouldn't make it not minimalist. Can't believe they missed having those features!

I totally hear you. I LOVE love how the Jones looks but when you are walking often, having extra conveniences makes a big difference (at least for me, a weak brained double digit handicap haha). I think you'll love the Sunday bag, and if you haven't purchased yet please consider using my affiliate link in the description!

Nice bag, but the problem is the price. 400+ for a carry 5 bag? Titleist has a hybrid 14 for under 300 with full length dividers. SunMountain had a hybrid 14 for under 200. I don’t care how nice this bag is, it’s not worth 400+! I read the pockets are small, and there’s not enough of them too.
@GreatGolfReviews8 ай бұрын
It's definitely an expensive bag, that's for sure! I am going to review a SunMountain bag this season for sure, have heard great things about them. I didn't find the pockets on the Anyday to be small or limited at all....quite the opposite in fact. I thought there was ample room for everything I wanted to carry and appreciated the insulated pockets on each side. It did not have a full length compartment like you see on most bags so that may be part of issue for people. But overall a great hybrid bag for those with expensive tastes!

Great review as always! I feel like if I were going to get a bag like this, I’d probably prefer their t-lock bag. I’m like you and walk a lot though so a stand bag is more my style. You should do a walking cart review next.
@GreatGolfReviews9 ай бұрын
I can see why that would be more appealing from a club pull perspective. The t-lock would eliminate the grippy-ness of getting the clubs out and in...but you would lose some of the protection. I would LOVE to review a walking cart next. I live in Pittsburgh and the courses are very hilly, so it would be a great place to test a push/pull and even mechanical cart.

@GreatGolfReviews10 ай бұрын
I did not experience any significant club pull with either bag. But I did have a commenter say that he experienced club pull with mid-size grips while using the Jones bag. I think with stand / carry bags you may not be able to completely avoid some grab, but compared to my twenty year old Ping Hoofer it was no bother at all!

I look forward to checking out a Stitch bag this year for sure! If you're primarily riding, have you considered some of the hybrid bags? I reviewed the Ghost Anyday 5.0 and it was my favorite bag hands down, it's just a bit too heavy for my hilly course (I walk 80% of the time).
