Your 3rd sentence doesn't make sense as it’s currently written, but I'm gathering that you bought new KYB from eBay and are wondering if you can warranty them through the eBay seller. If so, here's my response. KYB aftermarket products have a "[KYB product] lifetime warranty." Shocks are expected to wear over time, which is their expected "lifetime." Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and things like that, not normal wear from a product in use over time. If you're attempting to warranty used shocks, that's not how it works. The warranty also does not cover parts that are purchased from an unauthorized retailer, like eBay.

@@kybamericascorp Hello! It’s a Base 2005 Lexus Rx330 V6 with 176,500 miles on the clock when I installed the new struts. I reused the OE springs and used KYB boots and bump stops. The KYB model numbers are 334400 and 334399. They are the Excel G model.

Can you please elaborate on what your expectations were and what happened?

I have stock rims (in good condition) with with nice new tires, and completely changed the ride in a negative way, definitely more oversteer in the corners and a lot more skuttle shake, I would recommend marketing the excel g shocks as a cheap replacement, I immediately put my 17 yr old bilstien’s back on, they enhanced the stability and control immensely, I will try some new bilstiens and report back with a comparison, I’m just to disappointed to even try buying the KYB upgrade

Also, shocks control the springs, which control the body movement that you feel in the vehicle. A simple shock replacement may need other components added as well to achieve better stability and control. A KYB Strut-Plus complete assembly comes with an OE replacement strut that's been calibrated to work well with other worn suspension components around it, an OE matching spring that is corner specific, and a new OE mount to help restore your Corolla's handling to like new. Starting with a quality shock or strut like KYB would be a good move to handling changes in road conditions, like potholes as you mentioned.

That why I have Trust KYB... But the Mounts are not To Exact OEM Spec... They shouldn't be Clunking... I have Took To Car To 3 Different Suspension Shops.. To get there Oppions...& They all refer to the same Suspension part... The Mounts...Everything as been gone through... & Everything is nice & tight on my Suspension... Yes, but speaking in generalities, most Gas-a-just are shocks. At the time this video was made, I'm not sure we had any Gas-a-just struts, so that may explain why it was phrased like that.

@@kybamericascorp I followed up and that appears to still be the case. However the middle range, both the strutplus and bare struts are technically gas filled. Just somewhat less stiff. They can be stiffened about the same difference with TPU elastomer inserts for about $30 an axle. They can be removed and reinstalled as desired. Seems like a reasonable light-tow solution for a full size SUV.

Strut-Plus is designed as an OE replacement line of complete assemblies. If that wheel size you listed is 2" larger than what came on the vehicle from the factory, then Strut-Plus is probably not what you're looking for.
