Wore these for a bit o'er 3 hrs now, and there IS some sweat spot on my sock from the toe foam liner stuff, but not totally crushing the feet like initial, but also less cushiony after 1st hour or so. Did some decent lite hike stuff apart from just stroll around the street AND they still squish down a bit more than some sturdier leathers but also seem likely ok overall FOR THE PRICE? I imagine they still better than the Timberland Pro and I would rather have this leather than the Carolina likely or even in black without the speed hooks for a more true combat boot look, but still apprehensive t' take them int' the MOUNTAINS more untested for toe room and that heel counter question still unanswered...............

The one lace came untied but the tongue wasn't too unruly so far. A bit thin for non-padded perhaps, and maybe bunching a little in that one spot where the flex goes, etc. So I guess the gamble t' keep and wear them mostly might pay off, but also will hafta see what a cobbler thinks when they go in for servicing later. AND the honey outsole is like Bambi on a fresh patch of morning ice that don't know if the black Thirsty soles would perform better overall there, etc.

motorcycle jackets are designed to have long sleeves coz when you ride, your arms are stretched out so they're still covered and you don't get cold. the whole point of a motorcycle jacket is to be used to ride on a motorcycle. there are fashion jackets styled in motorcycle jacket styles, those are what you are looking for.
@Highland_Paddy18 күн бұрын
I know that. I said that. The point is that the sleeves can be longer without being EXPONENTIALLY longer, same as that Western shirt I bought last month. I'll repeat: NOBODY I KNOW HAS ARMS THIS LONG.

I read other comments where people complained Schott IS a fashion brand, so that still doesn't explain why the sleeves went at least 5" past my thumbs in a REGULAR size.

I was wrong: I wore the White's boots the other day for a bit. Still neigh my fave fit overall, but less weird transition than some other pairs. I pretty much stopped wearing the OT boots and took out the neoprene liner for use in the Challenger instead for now. Just the one pair so far, since I had to send back the nicer leather ones for a larger size and don't have any extra fillers yet. Nick's has them for $5 more than JK, but don't know if they are some thicker or better quality item.

The heel is a bit higher than Nick's, which I show in the Wingtip vid last week. Not sure if your other comment refers to the Wolverine 1000 Mile I had the half added? I was surprised that the Blacksmith had thin leather when I expected something beefier after all the years of vids about RW quality. So I thought this was a shortcut to getting the OT rebuild for the exra arch, but kind of a weird compromise for slightly more money... BUT with no extended wait period of weeks or months, that I can use them if I need them NOW, but still helped a little putting the neoprene soles from the other pair in here. Also still don't like the lower height, either, if I was using them for work or hiking instead of just "breaking in".

Vibram is the wife. Dr sole is kind of like the side piece. On an everyday work boot . The Vibram 100 is my go to. Half soles are kinda gimmicky. People like the retro look, but you give up a lot of water resistance. Also have that exposed leather arch is dangerous for motorcycle riders. The leather will slide on the pegs

Instead of separate vid nobody will watch, here's list o' spooky macabre holiday books I've read: Edgar Allen Poe-Try [and other?]; Legend of Sleepy Hollow; The Invisible Man; The Curious Case of Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde; Dracula; Frankenstein; Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles Trilogy; other short stories, including Dracula's Guest and that Vampyre Polidori one that Byron stole or whate'er; bunch sci-fi that is technically space horror or something?

I meant t' do this list the other nite when fresh in the mind a bit... ne'er really read Jules Verne or Lovecraft, but was going to do a follow-up more along darker themes related to Dark Academia but still neigh actually Academia whilst also pointy out that Steampunk is neigh really the same ting, either, as some may has postulated regarding aesthetic wardrobe stylistically, etc. Things of Green Gables may also mention academics as a matter or childhood, but doesn't really go into the nitty-gritty the subjects much, and character has far too sunny an outlook to get bogged down by so much the drama in the first one, anyway. Little Women e'en less a candidate, I'll wager.

Are these more comfortable than thorogood moc toes?
@Highland_PaddyАй бұрын
If ye get the right fit ye may neigh find them as discomfortable as I did with the narrow shape, but the inner sole cushioning is nowhere near as spongy as the Thoro, even w' Thirsty kinda known for overall comfort compared to leather insole boots like Red Wing. Yes, the other brand costs more and has the thinner or more pliant tumbled leather, so they're neigh considered the Fashion brand, so it can depend why ye want them, etc., but one could still use the Diplo for work boots more than some their other models, I suppose, because the leather is stiff enough and depends on the type of work. But I would need them at least two half-sizes bigger or possibly wide width. Thoro ye may still wish a wide width, especially if getting Steel Toe option. I have vids about them that I ordered on accident last year, but they don't really need break-in but some don't like walking in wedge soles at all, either. An adjustment maybe. I usually suggest ordering two sizes and returning the odd one for best fit if can't try on in store first, but Thoro ran more true to size for me.

My guess is they will be tight. Since they have no wide sizes, you may even need a 12, but it sounds like everyone is experiencing about 2 week delivery instead of the usual, which I guess is not too bad unless you need to do an exchange, that I have no idea how long might take.

I haven't noticed that issue as much with the Nick's overall, but I haven't tried wearing them all day yet, either. I wore the White's for about half a day but was mostly in the car and not doing anything where I had to walk a lot, but I still don't care as much for that foot shape that whichever guy recommended I would prefer wide size was maybe correct, but I see in the OT boots that a wider front also means a MUCH wider heel that can be more problematic in some other ways, so who knows? I got the other boots and did those other new vids more recently now.

@paulgarcia15663 ай бұрын
So in your opinion which line is best value?
@Highland_Paddy3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, it's neigh just one-size fits all answer. If you REALLY need vintage spec because you are in a throwback band or if you just love the nitro finish and won't play the poly-urethane, then it won't matter that the vintage USA cost way more than the Vintera because that is the only one you'll want. [The nitro finish will age more "gracefully" or handle damage better?] If all you can afford is the MIM, then rest assured that it will function pretty well and the price is charted as being the most consistent for "value" even if a Standard Fender in the old days cost three times as much in today's dollars. The old time Fenders were less Quality Control consistent overall than today's guitars. But if you want the modern neck and the lighter body and can afford the Pro model and the poly finish doesn't bother you, the USA Pro range still might edge out the MIM for this or that reason, even if his percentage chart doesn't account whatever intangibles into the added cost. [Is sound also a thing, that 60s and 50s sound different, too? The cost of the pickups and the sound of the pickups that is worth the extra $150 or $300 or whatever?] I think I said somewhere that the new Performer Tele wasn't necessarily a huge upgrade from the old MIM, but it was also a sale price and pretty much the simple guitar I wanted, but also missing some features I DO want, so the Mod Shop might still be the better guitar eventually than the Pro model if still NOT the better "value". So, annoying as it sounds, it's still a bit subjective at the end the day. Naturally, if possible, try two or three [or five] before deciding upon one or two, but I would argue that having two or three Strats is kind of the norm without being totally redundant, whereas having more than two Teles is starting to become overkill if you're not touring and such all the time. But then I still hafta do another Jazzmaster vid, right?

Well, I don't know where your winter is, so if you need something more insulated or whatever, there is always that. I'd say they're more water repellent than waterproof, so depends how much it rains and don't know if they've solved some of their distribution issues from this spring or whatever. Like I think I said somewhere, they're mostly fine casual boot if you're not planning to try and treat them like Heavy Duty work boots, etc., but they may have cut some corners in the past couple years, too, to keep price down a bit.
