I have 3 pairs of Nicks in wax flesh I love them all but are a bear to break in, it took me about a month to break them in, now they feel like slippers , extremely comfortable

I haven't noticed that issue as much with the Nick's overall, but I haven't tried wearing them all day yet, either. I wore the White's for about half a day but was mostly in the car and not doing anything where I had to walk a lot, but I still don't care as much for that foot shape that whichever guy recommended I would prefer wide size was maybe correct, but I see in the OT boots that a wider front also means a MUCH wider heel that can be more problematic in some other ways, so who knows? I got the other boots and did those other new vids more recently now.

I did other previous logger boot vids starting back last February, but don't think my first pair was Chip but very similar leather and price range at the time?

Do you feel the whites fit smaller?? I ordered a pair of the drifter 2.0 in the same size as my franks wilshires in the 55 last. Now I’m nervous they may be to small

Like I tried to explain in the Nick's Unbox vid after I tried them on, they are not the exact same last, so the fit is not the exact same even though the size is technically correct. Unfortunately, you will likely have to try them on before you can make that decision but your feet and my feet aren't the same, etc. They advised me that they can possibly be stretched and such if necessary, but I determined that wasn't needed in my case for the toes, like I said, and just started wearing them out for short walks.

Yea idk, I don’t understand the false tongue advice. Personally I’ve never minded breaking in boots with the false tongue. I might have thinner legs than most people but I don’t think so? It’s weird advice overall imho. The drifter 2.0’s have been fine on pavement personally. I actually went jogging the other day, definitely felt it but still breaking them in. I kinda figured the 55 last would be roomier. The 4811 last has a more aggressive arch than the 55 too. That most likely is why they feel tight for you, your arch might be slightly lower.

I'm fine wearing the boot without it for now because I can see where the leather is folding correctly and where it's not at least. My bigger problem is the outside and across the vamp below the lacing system and whatnot, so it's trying to get that to sit right while also getting the heel to conform that is two pounds of leather with a brick outsole, so maybe the last guy who commented will see this and go from there, but if he's already broken in a pair from Frank's, he should have better idea overall what to expect that I do, right?
