@sambo3832 I guess that depends on your bed set up, we have a queen air matress and I think you would just have enough room for a single air matress beside it but it would be squeezy. I think you would fit four standard single mattesses in but there wouldn't be much room left.

Great video guys and happy new year. Been using those ratchet guy ropes for a while now and they are awesome. Bought the awning pole clips with hooks from one of your earlier videos and used them heaps. Such a good product. Thanks again and look forward to more of your content.

@ just got home from 7 nights in Licola camping by the river with kids, dog and 3 other couples. Was amazing 4 wheeling, swimming, camp cooking and wild life. Get out and enjoy.

Excellent video - was just wondering how it is holding up and if it seems to be reasonable quality . Seen one of these at my local aldi for $149 and now am kicking myself for not buying it .

@reddyman6915 Thanks mate, we have had it out camping in the rain and wind and it held up so good, not a drop of water came through and just swayed a little in the wind. We are super impressed! Fingers crossed they come back around to Aldi again soon so you can grab one! 👍🏻🍻

You can ‘tune’ the thermostat. When turned off, but plugged in to power, enter the settings menu by holding down the settings button until e1 pops up. Each ‘E’ menu lets you adjust a setting. You can adjust hysteresis (temperature fluctuation before compressor turns back on - default is 2c), at what temp the compressor turns off vs set temp (default is ‘at set temp’ (ie 0), but you can have it go lower), the max and min temps you can select (default is +20 and -20), and most importantly, you can calibrate the thermistor at 0c, -6c and -12c, by adding an offset at each level (it can be a positive, or a negative adjustment). For my fridge I added 2c offset at 0c, to make it accurate at mid level (fridges are coldest at bottom and warmest at the top). I didn’t bother tuning sub-zero, as I don’t use it as a freezer. But on my other fridge I had to add 3-5 degrees to those values, to make it accurate. Tested against a couple of known accurate wireless thermometers. You can also change the batt saving option (is documented in the instructions). These settings aren’t documented by Kings (or other brands).

@frankenstein3163 hey there, I tried to find you a link but once it's not on Aldis special buys anymore you can't find it. You will just need to keep an eye out when Aldi might put these back in stock. This one definitely can not be rolled, the panels are quite rigid but fold beautifully into its own little case, we were super impressed with the size and weight of it.

if you had the meeans, id be curious to know what the temp inside gets down to when the display says minis -20. i got another budget brass money one from jaycar and even when it says -18 to -20 the temp is reading close to 0 (i just have a Thermocouple to multimeter, which seems accurate enough) thanks for sharin 👍

@Doviruses.existbaileyonodysee We don't have the means currently but we are super curious too. We might look at getting one and checking it out. All we know is we took it camping as a freezer with ice-creams for the kids and they were solid as a rock, even put hot zooper doopers in whilst out there and they froze nicely, so we were pretty impressed! We will get a Thermometer though and do a follow up vid/short when we do. 👍🏻🍻

@cathylane9086 You can get a deep cycle battery at any camp or hardware store, the prices do vary greatly so you can pick up cheaper ones if you shop around. Up to you on what type of battery (AGM or Lithium) Lithium are heaps lighter. You will need a battery box that has all the connections on it you need, you can get them at camp or hardware stores too. You can connect direct to the battery with alligator clips though if you don't want the extra options a battery box gives you. Hope this helps, shame Aldi don't still sell the boxes and batteries cause they are heaps cheaper, depends on how long you are willing to wait I guess. 👍🏻

*I think it should have a warning about using the 'controller' with a LiPo4 battery - there will be issues.* I'm tempted to buy one for the fold-out panels for charging our back-up LiPo4 with a suitable MPPT controller.

Hey LT great run down. I haven’t seen the aldi mat but bout a 200 W voltex from aldi and it look like the same regulator. We just got from East Arnhem Land and after 6 week in the build up it copped everything and was still going. Great to see a Northerner drinking our VB. You’ll be getting your kids to play AFL next. I would concur, that in my reading, the battery should be connected first to the controller, but guess what, you still got excellent results anyway 👍.
