I'm so sorry for what I'm about to say, but I had a discovery that I just now realised. Are chimpanzees in the zoo castrated? I never saw a male chimpanzee with.. * cough * big balls. I thought the difference between male and female was less obvious.

Albatross Wings. The birds wings are greatly big But there thin Nature Have some upsides and downsides. There wings make For good flyers but It greatly reduces drag but also reduces lift Also lives where it's lot of windy so it Fly good but if it wasn't windy And the wings wouldn't have enough left to take off and stay in the sky not Not much like eagles and other birds of prey cuz If From the area there lived there is no wind They have to evolve wings that have bigger flight feathers so they could fly in those conditions Cause it's that happened they have to go that

There is a video of a golf cart driving gorilla or orangutan. So they are very aware of their surroundings too they can learn a lot. Maybe in a few million years they start to use language as well or some other animal. I wish complex language wasn't just a human thing than we would learn that religion is bs. Etc..

"Spear". It's an extension of the termite stick that they're already using. Calling it a spear is attributing qualities to it that it doesn't have, which is to say sharpness. I really had no problem with the curviness of the stick, considering the prey, but I'm sure that everyone who has seen this is looking for the same thing and that is for the chimp to use one technique or another to sharpen the stick or to finish it in some way.

Well, they did break off a branch and stab a smaller monkey with it, or attempt to do so.
@panoken2130
@panoken2130 2 жыл бұрын
Also for something to be a "spear" it doesn't necessarily need to be sharp. You could spear something with a blunt stick. Besides, it's vastly different in the fact that it's a larger stick being actively used to jab a small animal, rather than a small twig that sits in a hole for a few seconds.
@habibishapur
@habibishapur 2 жыл бұрын
It likely looks like that because it was repeatedly jammed into the tree. They don't get caught on camera doing it that often, but there's footage of them making the spears. They bite the tip and apply lateral pressure to the stick making it snap in an oblique angle creating a sharp, splinter-like point.

@@SandyRiverBluealso of note is that chimpansees do come back to their tools(not the sticks tho) or keep them around for later use. There is even primate archeology, in which they find thousand year old hammer and anvil stones used to crush nuts over and over, creating a very crude mortar and pesstle over time due to wear. This is quite special as almost every animal that uses tools use tools of opportunity: they face a problem, find a tool, use tool, succes and forget about tool. If they know that keeping the tools around is handy because they might be handy later this might mean they are on their way to make more recognizable tools. When the conditions are set it might create a feedback loop: if i keep tool i can use later. Tool works better over time i want to keep tool. They get dedicated tools for different jobs. Seeing function and uses, seeing design even maybe evolves. Those are crucial attributes for making more complicated or compound technologies. With the bushbaby spears a similar feedback loop might appear: if i make stick sharper it pokes better. If i make stick bigger i can poke bigger things. A real spear is born then.

I believe the next step is for the ability to make string. They have used rocks and sticks. String is the next needed step. If anyone knows did any human species have string before fire
@macrick

They need to learn how to control fire and cook meat, before making even anything vaguely resemble a string.
