I always wondered: after adding the second hull, did they move the warp core to it or did it stay in the saucer? And if it stayed, then what was in and why add the second hull? It never really made sense to me to add a second hull to an already fully planned ship.story wise I mean. And if they only built new NX class ships with the new design, the design of the connection of the warp nacelles to the hull could have been made better imo...

here's what i want to know.. I'm an old, old player that just came back this year.. Whats the difference in the OG attack ship and the new bugs that are free? The OG attack ship was at one point the most OP and sought after escort in game but now it seems to almost not exist? I still have an OG attack ship that says attack ship in the little bio screen or whatever and it has a different name than the newer free bugs.

Maybe the windows are the Dominion changing this class’s Role a bit. This one might be more suited to Diplomatic and transport roles.

The Ancient Warships are between 3000 and 3500 meters long so you sizing is a little off.

Guess I’m the weird one. I really like the original jem hadar bug ship design.

The Bug Ship is actually better aft. Less glowing parts.

The scarab bottom and top are kinda strange. What are the purple glowy stripes for? It would make this ship stick out like a firefly, or the Firefly Serenity. You could do a FleetYards on Serenity. The enemy would be drawn to it's stern. Fire here. Pew pew.

Very interesting design. I have to get used to things being detached from a ship. To me it looks quite fragile. But besides that it looks very sleek and bad ass. The kind of ship you don not want to mess with.

I really like this ship. I think it does indeed fit more inline with Romulans... I mean, there's always been that apocryphal muddling similarity in design aesthetics between the Romulans and the Klingons, so I don't have a problem with similarities. But if I saw this for the first time, I would think Romulan before I thought Klingon.

Sorry I missed this broadcast. My nominees for the single worst episodes of each "Star Trek" series: TOS "Plato's Stepchildren." TAS - "The Megicks of Megas-Tu." TNG - when Picard wears a mask to seduce Data/Goddess. DS9 - Run Along Home. Voyager - trapped in a hologram with the killer clowns. Enterprise - when Archer's beagle is near death (sorry I like dogs). I haven't seen enough of the more recent spinoffs to nominate their worst episodes.

Apparently the blue dots at the aft are - Impulse manoeuvring thrusters for better control (tbh seems like a weird place to have all 6 of them .

Earth rejoined the Federation at the end of Star Trek Discovery season 4.

I don't understand why people are saying it will be like Discovery? How? Why? It will have a different cast and crew and setting. It's like saying DS9 and Voyager is exactly the same as Star Trek TNG because it's in the same period.

The design looks like something that would have been done during wartime, when resources are scares and the requirements are for a ship that can be built quickly and with minimal aesthetic factor going in to it (ie mismatched top/bottom/no frils) and instead just focusing on functionality and effectiveness. One interesting thing about the nacelle cut out on the underside is that it seems to approximately match the size/shape of the small section of strut that connects to the bigger strut, perhaps indicating that this was also being used for testing or a prototype warp feature that would allow the nacelle to fold into the smaller section of strut which would then result in an angled nacelle position which was later used to reduce the damage done to subspace when travelling at warp with the older style warp engines.

If Starfleet/earth couldn’t go past war one until archer wrote the war to barrier only about seven years before the NX class it would’ve been impractical for them to make so many different ships that only went warp one. War one is still relatively slow if war one is just the speed of light it would still take four years to get to Alpha Sensory

The episode in Enterpris where archer breaks the warp 2 barrier. It should’ve been him breaking the warp five barrier while testing the engine it would eventually go into NX class of ship. Obviously, if they’re gonna build a full ship, they would test the work engine first on smaller models. That way all the other ships before that would’ve made more sense. Why would they build so many shits and models before the NX they could never go more than warp 1.
