Hello there! I spent the better part of yesterday (11/9/2024) working on my own Snowball spreadsheet. My interest calculation was off. One I fixed it, I was really close to your numbers. Where we differ is the month where the additional money rolls into the next card. Let's say for example, the first and second card's payment is $40 and $60 respectively. The additional amount is $40. So first card is paid at $80 monthly. In the 15th month, the final payment is $14.25. In that same week, you rolled the full $80 into the second card. << I don't think it would happen this way. I think on week 15, Card 1 would be paid at $14.25 and the card owner would spend the remaining $65.75 on himself. Card 2 still gets $60 for week 15. Week 16 is paid at $140. Per my calculation, this added one month to the pay off of Card 2. < I used my rollover pattern into Card 3, and again, my payoff date was one month after yours. So, you and I are off by one month per card after the first card. I'm not sure if that one month per card makes a difference to anyone, but it does for me because it impacts when I can go on vacation and how much I have to spend during the holiday season. Please let me know if my thinking or my math is off. Otherwise, THANK YOU for confirming that I was on the right track with my own spreadsheet! Now I'm going to see if I can convert it to MS ACCESS :D

To all the users to find the "trick" for VBE windows to original setting - This is the video you should watch. First of all - make sure you get the "Dockable" boxes (at "Options->Docking") for #1 to #5 (except Object bowser) all checked on. Second - This video shows us when he holds and dragging the Window (at the title bar) to the left side of the screen - at first it looks like almost disappearing into half where the window will start showing like "double images" or resizing like he mentioned in this video, there we go, we can put it back and dock it back at the desired location. Trust me! This works wonderfully! As I have browsed many videos, this one specifically mentioned "drag the window to the left screen ........" just follow what he says in this video. You will get it.

Thanks this is great! because I have been looking ways to dock my VBE to original setting => #1) Project VBA window (top left), #2) Properties window (bottom left), #3) Code window (top right), #4) Immediate window and #5) Watch window (both at the bottom, at choice be it at the bottom right or bottom left) and while with the "Dockable" boxes (at "Options->Docking") for #1 to #5 (except Object bowser) all checked. My VBE windows all back to the Original Setting now!! Hooray! finally! Thanks a lot!!!

In my opinion, this is incorrect since the question was would you rather have $1 million or a penny that doubles itself every day for 30 days. The first day it’s still a penny so technically you would have to take the formula down to Cell or line 31 therefore the correct answer would be an excess of $10 million. You’re welcome.

***SOLVED*** Error 9 in line 4: the code gives an error in line 4: If Not Intersect(Target, Me.ListObjects("ProjectTable").ListColumns(3).DataBodyRange.Resize(, 2)) Is Nothing Then I have renamed my calendar object to "Calendar" as the video instructed, and pasted everything in as directed, but no luck. SOLVED IT: Ok answered my own question. This code has 2 references that each user will have to specify that aren't mentioned in the video. First, the OBJECT is a table that must be inserted ( click the "Insert" tab, then choose "Table") and then named ( rename your tables by clicking the Table Design tab, then on the left side set Table Name (ex: "Table15"). Second, the columns with dates need to be referenced. In this script, it is done by targeting the first column with a date and assuming the one immediately to the right of it is also a date (Resize(,2)). So, if I had named my table "Table15" and wanted the 2nd and 3rd columns of the table to have the date selector, then this line should read: If Not Intersect(Target, Me.ListObjects("Table15").ListColumns(2).DataBodyRange.Resize(, 2)) Is Nothing Then

Can you please let me know if payment 37 for credit card 2 should be 325 or 325-63.24 as we are still paying out the credit card 1.

I'm currently working out a solution to this one as I had spotted the same issue, additionally if you had over paid on a debt it should allow the additional payment to go towards the next date immediately rather than waiting for the next month... I may respond again once I figure this out myself :-)

Yes, if you are good with excel you can add an additional column in the data table and then where your calculations are the very top row on Payments after the (brackets) reference the cell you have added the additional one off payment. I have done this and works well. My formular is: =IF($G$14=0,P$13,P$13+$G$14)+K4 (NOTE I have changed where some cells are looking as totally changed the layout) in this example K4 was the cell for the additional payment against the row of that additional payment
