I don't care what the haters say. I love the music. I'm 54 and it brings me right back to my misspent youth hanging out in underground dance clubs all night long.

Brewing is part art and part science, as well as exercise, haha. You must get a healthy body in addition to great beer. Maybe you can make some improvements. For example, fit a agitator with motor on mash tun. In this case, you do not need to agitate the mash manually, which can save labor efficiently. :) We are professional brewery equipment designer and manufacturer from China. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us. My email is [email protected]. Vicky www.craftbreweryequipment.com

You would think that someone would making an auger to help remove the spent grain.
@barklordofthesith29974 жыл бұрын
Some mash tuns have them but they cost MUCH more than the ones without them. Here's an analogy. Say you're building a 2 story house, do you pony up the extra cash to install an escalator or just build a set of steps......sometimes you'll sacrifice 'ease' for the sake of a cheaper 'price'

I don't understand why uguys always play annoying noise instead of explaining what' your doing
@barklordofthesith29974 жыл бұрын
I agree that the music is terrible. Just a guess but they probably assumed that the only people watching this video are at least homebrewers whom basically already know. The large tub with the grain in it is a "mash tun" in which the brewer steeps grain in hot water to convert starches into sugars & then extract them. Once the liquid (now called "wort") is moved into the "boil kettle" you have to remove the spent grain & clean the equipment. The green rabbit food looking stuff he was measuring out are "hops" which are added to the boiling wort to add bitterness to balance out the sweetness & is a natural preservative. When he had the hoses hooked up, he was taking the wort through a cooling device & into the fermenting vessel. Hope this info helps.

Isn't there an agitator in mash&lauter tun?
@barklordofthesith29974 жыл бұрын
Yes, the guy who has to stir it is highly agitated.
