Chris, seems like this could also double as a nice christmas album, for those who simply enjoy listening to your music. Would it be possible to purchase it without all the instructive material?

Not sure how I missed this first time out, but another killer arrangement on the old Miles Davis tune. Such a beautifully haunting melody. Thanks, Chris!

Hey what amp are you using here? Sweet tone!

I slowed down your performance and dropped the key. It pushed the performance out to 4 minutes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6OVlqtpm5uEnZIsi=0zQ2hTW8wUgFaB9C

WOW Chris, the stuff you're doing on Wes recently is just out of this world! Would love for you to analyze his solos in relation to the chords on some of the tunes you've done. Thanks for this and cheers!

Thank you! Start very slowly with anything that is challenging and gradually work up the speed.

I love this tune, but it's in a key that I never play, so I always avoided it. I really like Ed Bickerts version

Why do you avoid a key/keys? You play the guitar?

I met joe pass years ago... brought him all of my joe pass music books... kind of wowed him... and totally with all due respect... when i listen to joe and barney kessel play this..... its just way too complicated for the listener to take in.... there's a melody line in there... but it's just buried... ps.. i'm ripping off your lines, and telling people i wrote them...... just kidding...

Will there be a kind of similar soundings, beginning with the root note on the lower E string, from Fmaj7 or Gmaj7 up to as far as possible to the end of the neck or even mix with the chords with the root on the A String to take it over? That could be extending the possibilities.

Thank you for your insights into embellishing shell voicings. That's exciting and commendable. But for breaking the topic down into sequenced, modeled instruction--I am standing on my chair applauding!👏👏👏👏

Funny. I saw this 3.5 years ago, learned it and it was my first non public post on KZbin. Then i rediscovered a few days ago. So i never tabbed it. i am now relearning and tabbing. Chris probably has tab but i can't find it. Bottom line lovely song on my favorite Metheny cd. And Chris does sensational job of chord melody. i heard methany composes all songs on piano first. He looks for sounds but ends up putting them on guitar. This should get a lot more looks from guitar crowd. but i think guitarists don't generally play metheny songs. love this one
