I know from personal experience that stories, images, and vivid dreams in a young child can result in insanely clear “memories” when they inevitably become muddled with reality. It happens. It’s real. Leia “remembers” Padme. Padme is in her memories. Those experiences aren’t real, but the memories are.

Man watching this 9 years later and hearing them talk about the sequels with blissful ignorance of what was to come, I wish I could go back and shield them from ever having to hear the line "somehow Palpatine returned" and just the sequels in general. Disney could have made their own original trilogy telling the same half baked story without completely trashing George's characters and shitting all over us. Rogue One, Rebels, Mando seasons 1+2, Ahsoka are all works of art that are unfortunately shadowed by the dog shit that was 7-9.

24:41 that is exactly what has been wrong with Star Wars under Disney. Sam put it perfectly. Movies can have flaws but still be great as long as they have heart theme and ideas in the right place. I value the prequels immensely for what they brought to the Star Wars mythos and expanded on the world in every way - I wouldn't have Star Wars without that trilogy. Disney's sequels though? Some of them are entertaining enough, but as Star Wars movies they are nothing. They did nothing for Star Wars at all. It's a "charming effects reel" and it really hasn't changed over the years. Even the better stuff such as Mandalorian, is just missing the heart that George Lucas pored into every movie he made. The feeling of Star Wars, which was present throughout the first six movie. Whether it was the story, the cast or music, it was so unmistakably Star Wars...

The first time I watched Star Wars I watched (2021) in chronological order (Main Movie) from Episode I It’s cool to here people seeing form different orders etc.
