Do. Its no mystery that a 7800xt beats a 1080 ok. If you are on a 1080 a upgrade path should be in your mind..so if you feel that a 1080 will suffice in the future as opposed to a 7800xt you would be incorrect. Its completely safe to say thats an upgrade to be had regardless of scores. PERIOD

This is a great test. most people buy cards according to the actual tests and ask what I'm shooting for if I get not +300 but +50-100fps. because in 1080p it rests on a weak percentage, just look at the statistics of the steam, people do not sit at 5800. they are sitting at 3600. There are few new games here. But this test already shows that the purchase is worth the money.

It doesnt mattter.. if you think there is a comparison ..well there isnt. The 1080 and 1070 were great cards that had longevity. But not close to the 7800xt. Just period point blank..you know that.. so in reality wtf are some numbers going to show u.. the same damn thing

In reality the Rx6800xt Destroyes the RTX2080ti by like 20-30% FPS now the Rx7800xt Is stronger then the Rx6800xt and immagine how much % it has ? in alot of games it even has double the performance but a Ryzen 5700x in 1080p is bottlenecking the Rx7800xt alot, Some time you have to upgrade your CPU too instead of just thworing more GPU on it. Euro truck Simulator 2 you see it again GTX 1080ti at 46 FPS and 99% GPU usage. Rx7800xt 53 FPS and 70 - 80% Usage, this is a CPU bottleneck increase Resolution or upgrade your CPU to a Rx5800x3d atleast (for gaming best CPU and better then the Ryzen 9 5900x or 5950x) Of course alot of times the Game itself do not use more CPU cores or restrict the CPU of delivering more power, but then your GPU is still delivering more FPS if you do some thing like increase Core speed of your CPU or enable 3dvcach. In other words the fortnite you see the DX11 is the bottleneck even for the GTX 1080ti but in DX12 where the CPU get used more by the game, the GPU get stick hard bottlenecked by the CPU. So in other words you use a GPU that cant be used to it's max potential so it is wasted money, better to get a Rx6700xt with a Ryzen 5700x or buy WQHD monitors and paly in a higher resolution with that kind of GPU. I had the same problem even with a Ryzen 5800x and this gpu, 1080p is a huge bottleneck even in hogwards legacy for that GPU if you use Ryzen 5th gen. (get a Ryzen 5800x3d atleast) this will be in 1080p the best match for the Rx7800xt (dont forget that card is as strong or stronger then a RTX 3090). it has nothing to do with a RTX 2080ti it is way more powerfull. Do not missunderstand me a RTX 4090 runs even with a I9 13900k in to cpu bottleneck but this is kinda luxury problems, a Rx7800xt is budged for high end.

As long as you're not moving into 4k nonsense (for a screen that is less than 50cm from you), yes, the CPU will start to be the limiting factor, HOWEVER... games like: - Metro Exodus @ 16:15 - NFS Unbound @ 20:25 - RDR @ 21:40 will show you that the limit is no longer the CPU, but the GPU itself.

As the disclaimer on the description says, I KNOW this is not the ideal scenario to compare the real Raw performance of both GPUs. Is just a comparison for an upgrade I made, with a normal PC, with what I think are the best quality/performance/price ratio components. Of course I could get a 5800X3D, or a 7800X3D, or an i9-14900K. But from my point of view, I think my 5700X is perfectly fine, I paid 170€ for it, and the 5800X3D was 300€, almost double the price. The RX 7800XT is a bit overkill for 1080p, absolutely, bot not for all games as @vxvicky says. And as a fan of racing games, one of the main reasons of this upgrade also are triple-screen games. Assetto Corsa now runs super smooth, and I'm looking forward to also play other games I couldn't do it properly, as Assetto Corsa Competizione for example. And also, I'm just securing another awesome future-proof GPU. Now I play 1080p, and maybe in the future I play at 2K, or even 4K. That's it.

Sí, algo de mayor estabailidad en general. Aunque es principalmente en juegos multijugador masivos tipo Batllefield, Fortnite o The Elder Scrolls Online, noto que el Low 1% es algo más estable. Y yo prácticamente siempre que juego estoy viendo vídeos/directos en una pantalla secundaria, así que sí, hay algo de mejora. =)

On both test the GTX 1080 is overclocked (the memory clock is 50MHz higher on the Ryzen 5 3600, with the 7 5700X I chose the wrong profile on MSI Afterburner). Anyways, the profile of the GTX 1080 with the Ryzen 5 3600 is an undervolt custom curve on Core Clock, and 250MHz on the Memory Clock. With the Ryzen 7 5700X is the same undervolt custom curve on Core Clock, and 200MHz on the Memory Clock.

No sé exactamente los precios en tu país, pero podemos hacer una comparación con los precios de España. Aquí el Ryzen 5 3600 está por unos 70€, y el Ryzen 5 5600 por 130€. Si allí el Ryzen 5 5600 está por unos 185$, entonces los precios son parecidos, y lo veo buena oferta. Y con esa gráfica irá bien, aunque igual con algún juego que sea muy intensivo de CPU (Como Battlefield en una mapa de 32v32 o 64v64) igual no puede ir al 100%, pero en general es una buena CPU por el bajo precio que tiene hoy día.

@@rodolfotsang4327 Con una gráfica tan potente, es posible que incluso el 5700X se quede corto. Teniendo en cuenta que la 3090 es bastante cara, entiendo que tendrás más capital de lo normal, y me iría a por el Ryzen 7 7800X3D o el i9 13900K

@@rodolfotsang4327 Si es una CPU orientada a solo gaming, no te recomiendo el 5900X. La diferencia entre este y el 5700X es muy pequeña, y no merece la pena. Te recomendaría el 5800X3D. Si se va a utilizar para también otras tareas de cómputo que necesite más cores, lo veo bien.

I wont reccommend this CPU imo. The Ryzen 5 3600 has a better value: PCIe 4.0, 32MB L3 (24MB more), and the most important, has a better performance. And at least here in Spain, the price is the same for both chips, ~70€. And the upgrade for that price is just superb, although you will need a new mobo (You can find decent B450 for ~85€, or if you want B550 for ~115€) and DDR4 RAM (16GB 3200MHz for ~40€)
