I'm all for regenerative agriculture, but I gave up on this video about halfway through, as there was nearly zero useful details. It just kept jumping from one hand wavy vague mentions of some buzz words, then moving on to another similar high level summary, despite frequently showing section titles that indicated there would be more meaty conversation coming up. I'd appreciate a lot more detailed information.

I feel like we're missing a huge big part of the puzzle, the continuation of breeding work around the globe, ask yourself, if you walk into a supermarket, how many fruits and veggies are truly super tasty to eat, not many! Even in the best veggie and fruit shops quality is often lacking simply because we have not done enough breeding to create a stable, resistant and above all tasty cultivar. The older generation bred for yield and resistance, whilst this is a valid reasoning I really do believe now is the time we (new gen breeders) switch to TASTE because it has been lost and the more we cross it out, the harder it is statistically to get the good taste back, I truly believe 1800-1900 probably had the best tasting veggies and fruits around the globe but it has been lost due to this train of thought...

This can be harmful in the development of new varieties, indeed it would be a headache for an owner to switch and adjust set-ups and even with AI and Machine learning there will always be a learning period = cost involved. The issue is that people will get comfortable with a few strong varieties but IMHO the varieties we have today, almost all of them, they can be vastly improved with breeding, this is the X time an innovation like this is hindering that unfortunately!

De verkeerde weg in mijn optiek van het kleine stukje dat ik heb bekeken maargoed... als PhD student moet je toch op een onderwerp ingaan en voor deze jongeman is dat dan fotosynthese maar helaas biedt dat geen resistentie tot ziektes e.d.... een groot stuk is hier gemist... achja... en voor de voorziening van eten voor de mensheid is het ook prima als er ingezet kan worden op veredeling i.c.m. licht dat dan duurzaam kan worden opgewekt d.m.v. zonnepanelen e.d. Voor de toekomst die snel gaat komen, want niet alle planten hebben profijt bij een volledige PPFD die de zon geeft, zo kun je dus met een vertical farm met energie efficiente mogelijkheden en met bodem en niet hydro met zo veel mogelijk trace minerals toch een smakelijk en gezonde planten laten groeien, er zal ergens een afslag genomen moeten worden, veredeling voor dit duurt vele jaren maar is mogelijk maar in de tussentijd zal het dus zo moeten en via vele andere wegen die voor deze comment iets te diep gaan.

Prachtig dit, een echte droomfaciliteit, ik zou ook weten of de altitude en dus ook de extra UV nagebootst kan worden, ik heb daar als veredelaar veel aan.
