Hell or hades refer to the ground where dead people are buried after sin has killed their bodies...in revelations all ungodly people, death and hell are thrown into the lake of fire, which was originally a burning dump ouside Jerusalem .. if Death and hell are finally thrown into the culminitive end of the bad world scenario, eternal Lake of fire, then could this be that the bodies of sinners, death and hell are eternally consumed by fire and the concious pure essence of the divine spirit of God that had animated those bodies simply returns to God who gave it to be reused for Gods perfect purpose? In this way it's only the imperfect thought form memories that remain in the eternal lake of fire ...

I’m sure this fella means well, but he’s extremely far away from the truth. This isn’t Biblical. I don’t suggest anyone listen to any of these ideas.

I've been a Christian some time and have always struggled with the concept of hell and eternal torment or torture. Then I hear this alternative teaching on hell and I wonder if their teachings could be right. And if I'm honest I'm hoping they are. If there is another possible alternative then that would be great news right ? Why would I still want to think people are going to eternal torture when there might be an alternate way of looking at what scriptures are saying, Why would I not rejoice at hearing this. Just because I'm going to heaven, which by the way I didn’t deserve in the first place, I'd still love to hear that there is no one burning and being tortured in hell forever and ever. That they have instead been destroyed and perished, that they are instead no more. If there is any chance of that being truth, then why hold on to such a barbaric view ? I think it would say something about myself if I'd rather hold on to that veiw knowing things might be different. You might even think, do I even care if people burn in hell forever or not. I've heard some rather disturbing things concerning some people's belief in hell, describing in detail visions that they think they've seen. And it always strikes me as if they are obsessed in the things of hell. Do they have irrational fears about such a place ? I do personally believe this all comes from a fear of the unknown Where there is blanks we tend to sometimes fill them in with the most frightening things our minds can imagine.

God has given me a new heart and He wrote the law in my heart just like its spoken about in Jeremiah 31 and Romans 8. For me, there IS heaven on earth. The bible is straight forward. God is not cruel to make it complicated. Genesis and most of it was written by sinners (a human living on earth) afterall he described how Earth was created day night etc... and on 7th day God chilled. But we have 7 days in a week, what other day did he use to create heaven. If he said God created heaven then the earth in 6 days, it will make more sense... But i admire the fact that people are so in love with the bible and busy generating followers that they go love blind to the point where they forget how to read a holy book. You live once, you sin-you feel bad about it-you repent(ty Jesus)-you live with God. That our tendency to sin creates an experiential negative experience in our environment doesn’t meet the biblical reality of hell. Brother. I presume you are born again. So I am going to say this with respect, but also sternly, yet with love (Although it seems most Christians these days have no idea what love is, many think it is a submissive tolerance of wickedness with a smile on their faces, I am sorry that is not love...remember God chastises those He loves)... Do not confuse hell with man's fallen nature and evil. Man did not create hell. I am sorry, that is nowhere in the Bible. Matthew 25.41 clearly states that Hell was created for Satan and His angels (I doubt man was involved in this). John1:3 says that "All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made". So man did not create Hell. Also before the cross, there was Sheol (Boesom of Abraham vs Hades). When Jesus died, he emptied that place and took the keys of death from Satan. Things are different after the cross and will be much worse after the judgement - then there is the final terrible hell...(not the same thing as you describe in your sermon). You also seem to have an odd understanding of demons, demon possession and demon attachments and harrassment etc. I suggest reading the book of Enoch and doing a study on the Nephellim to understand what we are dealing with. Many people are tormented by evil demonic spirits (and they have no idea, they just think those things were inherited from their parents, or just the way things are)...Almost all of man's struggles are demonic. None of those evil things are hell, none of those were created by man. Man is fallen and his nature is evil. (We are born into sin, we are sin) But until he is born again, he cannot resist evil, it is not possible. Man needs to be born again, to become a "new creation" when God dwells inside of man. (That is why Jesus became sin for us). Now man is the temple and in unity with God, "submits to God, resists the devil and he will flee from you"James 4:7. God puts the "full measure" of the spirit of Christ in us and gives us all authority over evil (Satan and demons). Man (only the born again new creation) has to learn how to take authority. Now I do understand that you may metaphorically mean that all pain is created by man as hell, but that is also not accurate. Most of the pain we suffer is people submitting to, or being controlled (some willingly) by Satan and his evil demons. That is not man. Yes, the result is pain, but it is still not hell. It is people worshipping demons, idols and everything other than God that are creating legal contracts with the devil to torment them. We are at war (Spiritual). We have to take up our armor daily. Finally, the "hell" you refer to that God wants to "get out of people" are mostly again demonic (possession, oppression and more), as well as trauma (people need healing from their pain and suffering). Again none of these are "hell". Call a spade a spade, else it appears as if you are diminishing the harsh truth of the horrible torment waiting on those rejecting the perfect sacrifice, the blood of Jesus, the perfect price paid for their sins. I am not accusing you of this, but it certainly seems like you are "twisting the truth". Be careful. Psalm 56:5

The 'good news' was that the Messiah had come to Earth as predicted and died for your sins, been resurrected and thus opening the way for you to repent off your sins, accept Jesus as your saviour and be born again.. This is absolutely clear from reading the Gospels and Acts etc. Do not accept a preacher giving his interpretation of Bible teaching from him reading a couple of verses.

Regarding hell: Hell is NOT a place. It is the method of execution for 'The wages of sin is death'. That's death for all eternity. The dead in Christ are resurrected with perfect bodies, while in the 'twinkling of an eye' those that are alive are transformed into perfect bodies. The angels gather them all and MEET Jesus IN THE AIR. Everyone else is wiped out by the brightness of Jesus. 'Left like dung on the ground', also called 'the feast of birds. At this point, Christ does NOT touch the ground..but ALL return to the real heavenly city of New Jerusalem and stay for 1000 years. That city is 350km by 350km square. Then, the 2nd resurrection of the damned takes place. New Jerusalem descends to the Earth where the Mount of Olives has been split. The devil, his demonic fallen angels and the wicked surround the city.. they all see Jesus and then is the moment when 'every knee shall bow'. The devil hets a special treatment as he combusts from the inside out in the sight of those wicked who chose sin over life, and unquenchable hell fire comes down and consumes them to ash. I see the Garden of Eden story being a story of ascension. The Human Race rose above the animals. Unlike the animals, humans have laws and sin. We cannot be innocent again. What is more, the Jewish people started writing this at a time when the tribal kings were declaring themselves gods, or descendants of divine beings. This means, the Jewish people had to justify themselves, and they came up with the flawed sacrifice system. The Jewish kings still did what was in their feelings, and they used God to secure legitimate claims to their thrones. Jesus Christ is the answer to this trouble. God wants to be our God, and He has chosen the Cross of Christ as a vehicle to bring us together. It is all about God's glory. It is brilliant that the holy, perfect God wants to be our God. The question is not how Jesus comes to heal us but the why of that how. A surgeon, not being divine, does the best they can with the technology available. And thus their methods may be excused for being cumbersome and unpleasant. But God, being God, has no such excuse. The convoluted nonsensical jerry-rig speculated to be his best way to excise the wickedness that he predisposed us to, defeats all reason and leaves apologists backed into the caves of Strange and Mysterious. Consider, were you to say those words about the ways of a person, it would be code for them needing to be looked after. If you attempt to claim that any of "God's Plan" is the least bit intuitive, we would expect that hundreds of years of Great Commissioners would have run across at least one heathen who had worked out some of it before they arrived to condescend it to them. But it seems that God runs a tight ship and he chose a method of salvation that NO human would ever conceive of in their wildest dreams. It seems The Good News was a scoop everywhere in the world until someone got there to explain why it was so obvious. He has provided you absolutely no help on why things would be the way that you claim they are, either in that book or anywhere else. To say there's no details of what it's like outside of the city is not true. For example from Daniel 12:2 "Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt." Speaking about the ressurection of the dead and where they go. So at least we know it's a place of shame and contempt, what else? We know God sits on his throne and judges all of the dead according to what they have done.(Revelation 20:11-13) And that any name not found in the book of life (for those who've accepted Christ) are throne into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15) Or, look to the damned thrown into unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12) Or the parable of the sheep and the goats where they get eternal punishment. (Matthew 25:46) God is not unjust, for the righteousness of God does not allow him to leave sin unpunished. He is an eternal God so his wrath on the wicked is eternal. Hell is not just a euphemism for sin, it is a real place just like heaven. And it's a place of terrible torment, not just being outside a glorious city. The judgement of God is real, but the sacrifice on the cross gave the way for us to be reconciled with God. Which is why Jesus calls himself the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6) Jesus is more than a get out of hell free card, salvation in Christ is a reality that affects your life on earth through sanctification, where you move away from a sinful life and live in obedience to Jesus Christ. To repent and truly believe in Christ means to have a confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we don't see. God is both and loving and righteous, there is not one without the other. Because if he wasn't righteous he wouldn't be holy and perfect. Seek the truth in the word of God. Come home to Jesus and be reconciled to him.
