well: does it even run? or is it a showpiece?
@LeeKlancher3 ай бұрын
It runs perfectly. It is a show tractor, but everything works flawlessly. Brad's work is some of the best of any tractor restorer.

Had a '65 806, miss it everyday. Ours had a better looking cab, forget the name but came out of Uylesses, KS. Had AC but was rarely charged.

I am interested in Buying that Book, but when i check it out on Amazon, some pages seem to be in a foreign (mabee Spanish?) Language. Is this just Amazon using the wrong Version? Hope someone can clear that up ....

That's a new one on us! You can get the book--which is entirely in the English language--at the two links below: octanepress.com/book/farmall-century-lee-klancher-tractors-international-harvester-100th-Anniversary www.amazon.com/Farmall-Century-1923-2023-Red-Tractors/dp/1642341398

@@Lee78072 Thank you for your persistence! You are right--those are old pages with "greek" text. We deleted those and replaced them with new pages. It'll take a few days for Amazon to update. Again, thank you!

David, I'm afraid that's not a number we would know offhand. I would suggest you post on the Red Power Forum--someone there would know! There is a discussion there about engine rebuild cost if that is what you are seeking. www.redpowermagazine.com/forums/topic/112745-overhaul-cost/

This brings back great memories of the RX-3s and the RX-7s! Jim Downing is such a humble gentleman. I had the good luck to work the corners at both Sebring and Daytona in the 1980s and watch him work up close. They note how loud the rotary engines were, and I can attest to that!😂

My uncle had two 1206 tractors. One with a regular cab and muffler, which is the one I preferred to use. The other one had the white cab and straight pipe muffler. They were both great power machines, would pull 5-20s molboard plow right along.

When that tractor went up for auction at Mecum it reminded me of the same tractor I would see parked along the Fresno County roads when I was a boy. Once I heard it’s story it was one and the same tractor. When the county would do road repairs near our house I would ride my bike to where it was parked and sit on it pretending to drive it, really fun times. The county yard where the equipment was kept is on Del Rey avenue just south west of the town of Sanger California. It was usually hooked to a hard rubber tired packer and all it did was drive up and down the road turning around packing the asphalt repairs. I remember it having Firestone field and road tires, 23.1x26 or 30, and a set of Firestone diamond tread at one time. If the county ordered it from the local John Deere dealer, Fresno Equipment, probably my friend Sam Pallesi did the deal. He was the go to guy for Ag and special order equipment. He was the guy who convinced JD corporate to build a low pro 4320 for the local tree fruit farmers. It had factory down exhaust, a swept back front axle and ROPS delete. Anyway really cool to see an old friend again. Farmer Ken in California

According to Navistar Historian Tom Clark, the first commercial film by International Harvester in 1911 was a silent film called "Back To The Old Farm" but this is not that film since it has sound. It had to have been made much later.
@thejunkman Жыл бұрын
This film is from 1945 according to some archives. Also it can't be from 1911 as the sound recording company used wasn't founded until 1928.
@nonyadamnbusiness9887 Жыл бұрын
Sound could have been added later, but the automobiles are from the mid twenties to late twenties.
