There's kinda no reason to delete barracks for Civil War, btw. Just make sure that whichever side you want to win has all the gun production and it's a *very* onesided affair, even if you don't delete a single barracks anywhere. This also supports maintaining a much bigger army that you can use to way more aggressively bully for War Reps. I like to go Qing (if First Opium War fires) -> Russia -> (Spain if time allows) -> France -> UK + EIC all of which can typically be achieved by 1846. If you're lucky enough to see Heavenly Kingdom fire you can split China in two by just occupying Beijing for the duration of the Taiping Rebellion, but that seems insanely rare on the current patch. If you want to move into being able to use bankroll reverse swaying in the mid game, you can just provoke an Intelligentsia revoke, swap to it and win.

Fixing taxation capacity early game is not worth it for many undeveloped nations like japan. Only after you got some techs / better laws / less % of peasants

i honestly dont know myself but my monarch and his heir died and a different house took over that was probably the reason why the colour change but i dont even know😂

@@smlter I found out in my own game as Japan. To change to the white/pinkish color you must have completed the restoration while remaining an autocracy or single party state and you cannot be a theocracy

I preder interventionism too, the problem is just that laissez-faire is so powerful because the private sector pays for 75% of construction so you can just build even more construction sectors with the revenue you just gained and grow economy even faster. I keep interventionism mostly for roleplay, which is how i usually play anyway, i almost never go full on capitalist dystopia unless I'm really in the mood for it
