This is great!.....but isn't there a "use the major over the 1 and the minor over ?¿??" .......something like that?

Howard, I have seen this 100 times. I have always seen the linear scale presented as a connector to a “box” further down the neck. I started playing the guitar long before there was a KZbin. So very old habits to modernize. You made me see a whole new way to look at this scale because you were actually “playing” the scale, not “running” the scale to a new location. That opens up a completely new way to “set markers” for the boxes as you “play” this linear scale through the boxes as you go down the neck. Hard to describe but, great…..Thank You!

Thanks for doing these tutorials. For us beginners, it would really help when doing these if you said what amp, settings and pedals you are using. Ric

Howard, thanks for all you do. You are making me a better musician. In regard to the rude mouse, how much distortion and brightness do you use? (11 o'clock, 2 o'clock, etc.). I really like the tone you got out of it.

Hi - Of course, it will vary depending on your pickups, amp etc. The level and the filter are both at 12:00 - The gain is at abut 10 - And I use the classic toggle :-)

Thanks. I will spend some time with this one. I always liked this song. I am a hobbyist and I will try to figure out the bar structure. It's probably obvious to better players but I like knowing the song structure. Thanks again.

Me looking thinking it looks so simple, but I know it's not. Also knowing I'll never learn it and can barely play. One of my fave guitar rhythms ever. It's just dreamy.

Sounds like violin solo whirling sound 🎉

What distortion pedal/amp for the lead melody? The tone here is pretty close to the recording and sounds great. I’ve been trying to get back into distortion after years of clean playing but every pedal I’ve looked at is either pure blues, indie rock jangle or 🤘METAL🤘Nothing seems to get that violin-like 70’s era jazz rock sound.
