thanks so much for this great vid however it didn't work for me. The command prompt said "no running VRSC daemon found". Can you please help? when i try open my Verus mobile app it says "Verus wallet" beta has expired.

@@MichaelORegan-w7o sounds like you need to bootstrap your wallet to make sure the VRSC daemon is running and in sync.

Hi, i mined some Verus (only 11 coins) on a mobile app and the phone got destroyed. I have the walletpassphrase, pubkey, privkey but i can't seem to add it into the desktop ? is that possible ? or are they now lost as they were only mined on a mobile ? thx

I have actual never tried that - maybe it will - do tell if you try - but remember that you can not stake vrsc running a lite wallet.

@@poweredbycode_dk I have tried but can't get it to import. BUT, I'm a complete noob so that's not to say it cannot be done. If I wanted to stake would I have to keep my laptop running or can you set it on and then close Verus down and it just does its thing that way?

If the format is: wss://mainnet.infura.io/ws/v3/[YOUR KEY] the infura link is ok - If you not have done this - update to newest Verus Desktop App and try to add and activate bridge keeper again. If this does not help you may have to find and open this file: C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\Verus\pbaas\52c7a71ed15802d33778235e7988d61339b84c45\52c7a71ed15802d33778235e7988d61339b84c45.conf and add delegatorcontractaddress=0x71518580f36feceffe0721f06ba4703218cd7f63.

You are very welcome. Your miner hashrate is displayed in the console of spectre-miner when you run the miner. When you hit a block you will see it in your wallet.

Why does it take several days to download the blockchain before you can do any mining? very frustrating

Sounds like you need to run bootstrap (downloads the blockchain very fast) - in the "Wallet" tab find the settings icon right under Verus native placed in the left side. When you have clicked on the icon choose "Bootstrap" - it may take some time but if your machine have some horse power it will be ready within a couple of hours

First of all, thank you for this video. I was able to get it up and running, but I have a question. The wss as the example text in Verus desktop started with "rinkeby" but my copied from Infura starts with "mainnet", why is that? And also, my logs doesn't look like yours?

"rinkeby" was Ethereum testnet used for testing. Therefore you need to use mainnet. @@gamesprobrfsa9344 your spectred have to be in sync before you can mine. The syncing while running spectred can take more than 30 minutes.

Maybe your firewall prevents the spectred connection to the internet.

@@poweredbycode_dk I went ahead and tried to set it up with the windows platform the node is up and running well having trouble connecting wallet through Windows Powershell doesn't want to read the commands in their format when I open the terminal it opens and disappears quickly that's why I proceeded with the windows shell

Yes it will work but instead of using the terminal you need to make a .bat file with all the same info you would put in the terminal. I have it running on my Windows 10 machine now.

I have not tried that - i would guess that the purpose of compound is about making transactions faster because there are so many small transactions inside the wallet - do share your experience if you try to compound in the wallet.

I followed your guide on a RPi4 and all seems to work well except that my wallet balance is 0 in a imported wallet that I know have some coins in it. (Imported wallet showed correct adress) Though the bootstrapping is not completed, this is maybe the cause of 0 balance in wallet?

Yes - you need to wait until bootstrapping is complete to see the correct balance in the wallet.

The Raspberry Pi 4 is missing crypto hardware inside the chipset and can therefore not mine Verus, but the Raspberry Pi5 and Orange Pi 5 can.

If you forget to run the bat file with admin mode the OC settings will not work properly.
