Great review. The reason the song resonates is because her pain is real, deep, and multilayered. She's not trying to evoke the pain, it's there and is a plentiful well at the moment. This is what beautiful art is, it makes us feel, And if someone is feeling something that is strong, deep, and true, they will convey it and you will feel it. granted, her talent level is also ridiculous. Beautiful technique, low register voice (like Lorde, kinda), but is it truly better than lady gaga, beyonce, or some of those 1990s divas (Celine, Whitney, Mariah, etc)? We have heard many incredible singers in our lives, I think the soulfulness in this song is what takes it to the next level. I also think that anyone who says "studying music theory/technique kills the humanity from your music" has just been falsified!

Well the juries okay they are a bit , but the public has everything in their hand , if they want to be political they will vote that way if they wanna be on the right side then everyone should vote for the one they love . That's has been my system for 6 years now watching eurovision

Great song... Too bad Israel just about destroyed Eurovision... "United by Music" could not be further from the truth this year. I don't blame Eden but the Israeli delegation and EBU double standards and Israel's heavy handed sales campaign to get televotes. It didn't have to be that way but it was so very bad.

I voted for him from the United States and was shocked at the zero public points. I did notice the non family friendly bit but was not too fazed by it, but just those few seconds probably disturbed people enough. Overall it was one of the best stagings I have ever seen at Eurovision. I'm glad you appreciated it, for the most part.

Yes, the original name of the song was "October Rain". The Hebrew words at the last verse mean: "No need for big words", "Only prayers", "Even if it's hard to see", "You always leave me one small light..." Her name is Eden like "Heaven", not EEden... Great reaction
