Im 47 now . I used to kick flip when i 11 on old school full size boards and push down instead of using my ankle and top of the foot . No wonder they were so FN hard at the time, but i could do it.

When I was younger I could only do a kick flip body varial. Idk why. I could never get the regular one down.

i learned this and the ollie in the same day yesterday, and I can already almost land both of them. I just struggle with getting my back foot to land on the board for the shove it, and getting a big enough pop on the ollie to go more than a centimeter off the ground.

First time learning shuvits, one time the board slipped from under me right after I landed lol. That only happened once and I started landing them after. Now I can land pop shuvits pretty consistently. Trying to perfect them now. Your video definitely helped me out... thank you bro!

You don’t really have much say in your stance unless you’re ambidextrous i learned how to skate Goofy i am not a Mongoloid and if someone approached me and asked why i skated Mongo i would ask them why their parents were allowed to breed lol people use the word Mongo and don’t even know they’re basically calling them retarded when in reality it takes more skill to land hard tricks when you’re goofy footed lol it’s hilarious people who don’t know how to even skate that good think they’re better because they use their right leg to push the board 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂

As a 27 year old that just got my first deck in like 12-13 years. Built it up and and was able to ollie and pop shuvit within 20 minutes. Totally like riding a bike, I feel blessed to be able to go in my pocket and search up tutorials to help learn tricks. I used to brainstorm ideas with my cousin and use videogames as a basis for technique 😂

Funny thing is that back in the early 2000s, you were a good skater if you could varial kickflip. Well, to the small group of skaters I knew at least. It’s been a bit of a dream trick for me. However, I can’t kickflip. Doesn’t make sense to me. Heelflips makes sense, so I’ll have to try for varial heels once I can get consistent with normal heelflips (better start learning FS shove its)

Pushing mongo is stable. People who don’t push Mongo always demonstrated terribly. Like throwing with your left hand. Why not learn both isn’t it an advantage to be able to use both legs to push?

"Head over the back bolts" is way to far back. I can even see it in your video that your head is over your front foot through out entire length of the trick, and this is the way to do it. If you have your head over the back bolts then there is a fair chance tre flpi happening in front of you instead under your feet.

I was having trouble with kickflips. I kept rotating my body and it just doesn’t feel good at all. Tried heelflips and they feel so much better. I watched many tutorials and a few mentioned using the pinky toe to flip, so that’s pretty much what I’ve focused on doing. I’ve only landed 3 sketchy ones over 3-4hrs of constant practice

This trick hurts my head. I can watch it milion times and still not sure how the board is spinning. In theory there meant to be kickflip rotation in here somewhere but I am struggling to see it. I’ve tried to focus my eyes on specific truck and still cannot figure out how the board rotates 😂

So I have a good Ollie right, but the second I try a kickflip I either pop the board straight up. pop it behind me, or send the board flying in front of me all of them not flipping at all. Can someone tell me how to fix this
