Somehow, what helped me the most at my last session to come really close to land my first rolling 360flip (is was way too exhausted to get it I think) was to place the backfoot in the right position, but setting it up flat on the tail. That way there is much more room for the desired motion of the foot to accomplish the scoop with maximum power but much less effort from the rest of my leg. Just a tiny tip for others who, like me, practice them for over a year now. 😅 Thanks for the tutorial. Love your videos!

thanks a lot. i tired out of fun a 360 flip last weekend, even trough my kickflips arent consistant and my shuvis and popshuvs are quite good. i did took an L because tried to catch the board with my backfoot and it slammed right in my right leg. I had one try were i got super close landed with both feet and the board was kicking me of behind itself. next time i try to catch it with the front foot. i had experenced skaters around me who can easly do 360 flips but they couldnt gave me any advices because my technic up to the point where i need to land it is super good and the flip is looking super sharp.

Bro, you are something else, thank your for being detailed ! I already have my 3flips on lock, but I’m still figuring out how to make them look “stanky leg” like if that makes sense 😂😂😂 any suggestions?
@Skiddyskates3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your support! It’s really all about activating your back ankle. It’s weird because you are scooping your ankle in while pulling your leg back. Pretty awkward. Try to straighten your back leg too as you are scooping instead of using it to scoop. It’s not easy but keep at it and you will get it. 🤝
@looseygoosey233 жыл бұрын
Skidish Skateboarding dudeeeeeeeeeeeee, I’ve been looking for such insight on the scooping motion, looking the ankle being “separated from the leg” makes a lot of sense, I’ve to tell you I tried one today and it did work!!!! Second fucking try! I’m beyond happy 😫 now it’s all about getting more comfortable with the “awkwardness” of the ankle thing while the leg is going backwards idk, thank you man, really ahahaha I’m not overreacting 😂 I’ve dreamed about this trick for the past 9 years 🤘🏼🤘🏼🥷🏿🥷🏿

I can attest to rolling and injuring your foot when catching with back foot. Last August I was doing Tres at the skatepark down a little 2 foot or so quarter and caught it with my back foot first and it cause my front foot to roll and take the entire impact. I tore my tendon and was out for over 6 months. What sucked worst was it was a week before my yearly Panama City Beach vacation. I wasn't able to do much skim or boogie boarding due to it, though I tried anyway lol. I've rolled my back foot so many times I can take an impact on it and it be completely fine but that was my first front foot, or left foot roll, and I made up for lost time lol.

for one Month straight I was able to at least land one 360flip. a tre a day was my goal. but after that month, for some reason, I couldn't land a single treflip!!? it's really frustrating... it's almost like I'm at the beginning of learning them.. I let it be for a long time, just trying them if I really feel it... but still don't get to land one anymore... it happens to kickflips too btw. it's like I degenerate completely in my skateboard skills.
