I bought a early R170 SLK 230 5 speed. Been slowly fixing things myself since most transfers to the W202 i own that one as well but its a auto. I wanna get into these kinds of races in my slk. And of course take her to the Autobahn just a bucketlist thing of mine.

@@rodrigocosta9569 that’s awesome to hear. We’ve swapped the K40 unit and now the problem is gone. This season some more SLK’s had the same issue. Swapping the K40 unit almost always fixes the electrical/power issue. 😉 Hope you get it solved.

This is so funny to watch hahahaha I own a r170 and I have 2 questions: did you welded the roof to the body to increase rigidity? I guess the car is very light on the rear axle when the roof is up. So almost everyone has a huge spoiler at the rear to increase downforce. Right? 4:18 🫣🫣😂

Hi, we have no performance upgrades engine wise. AST suspension, roll cage and then some minor changes.

Hard to say. It all depends. Some are extremely fast in FWD, others can be super fast on RWD cars. Difficult question 😁

@@nadieenabsoluto3321 Well, I have only raced FWD on dirt. The guy you see in this video is not me. Right now I race a RWD car but that's purely on asphalt circuits, no rallycross anymore. So yeah, for me I think I will be quicker with FWD. But give me some time in a RWD car and that might change 🙂

@@nadieenabsoluto3321 In Belcar there were Fiesta's (cup car) on track and mine was faster than them on Circuit Zolder and Nurburgring GP. So yeah, in my opinion it's faster.
