So they need spoilers right? Some people say because of that short wheelbase and high power(SLK32) it's dangerous, also what do you think about buying SLK32 for $4.5K, swapping to manual would be to expensive right?

sorry man, never saw your comment. They do need spoilers, during testing for this cup it became obvious that it just helps with traction, keeping the rear firm on track. And yeah it might become expensive, but nice project though. Did you go through with it?

@@TimVoeten would you ever consider making a video of just an overview of your setup then? I want to build mine, upgrade the cooling system, suspension, etc. but I’ve realized there is not an incredible amount of after market support for r170s specifically

Over there you can find a lot of information already. Cup is organized by www.biesheuvel.nl and they have a lot of knowledge, I'm sure you can ask them questions and even order parts from them. ;-)

This is so funny to watch hahahaha I own a r170 and I have 2 questions: did you welded the roof to the body to increase rigidity? I guess the car is very light on the rear axle when the roof is up. So almost everyone has a huge spoiler at the rear to increase downforce. Right? 4:18 🫣🫣😂
