I thought you were singing 'Me and mushrooms', and I wondered why when you were cooking shrimps! - or prawns, as we call them in Scotland. I think the water-crust pastry from the Scottish macaroni pie episode would work well for the mustard and tomato tart - nice and crunchy. But then, I am Scottish! Lovely episode.

That is how I make my brown rice. I boil my brown rice in lots of water for about 30 minutes, then drain and put lid on immediately and let it sit for 10 minutes before eating. I don't like that method noted on the bag for brown rice.

Well India is something, foreign people will take years to understand. I mean if u stand on any coordinate of Indian homeland, every 150 to 200 kilometre s in any direction you go, literally even the meaning of word with same spelling changes. Its that much diverse..

For the sharing food question, yes typically we will ask for a separate plate or bowl to divide food to share with the other ( spare plate thing started happening after covid) that way food is shared before using eating utensils. Exception to sharing I have friends with food sensative allergies. If they go out they are there for the one thing that didn't kill them. The staff are not always 100% on the ingredients when we ask. Mt best example, I have a relative with an allergy to ALL forms of nuts. I wanted to show her Horchata the drink, but no one could tell us if almond milk was in it. Which is a common way for most places to make it. So she opted not to try this, which is totally fair considering its a risk of allergens.

So in Germany during the spring time we eat a lot of white asparagus and we usually serve it with melted butter or a Sauce Hollandaise which is different from a cheese sauce.

23:25 it's not just an interpretation of Chinese food. Indo chinese food is a legit cuisine because it was made by the hakka tribe chinese people who came to settle in India after they were banished by their king. then they started selling food by adjusting their dishes to the indian pallete ❤

Spicy version of Filipino food (especially in Muslim areas), Indonesian food, Traditional Chinese and Indian food are the main components of Malaysian food. Is what I observed when I was in Malaysia as a Filipino for nine months, atleast in Kuala Lumpur.
