*NBA needs to get rid of 6 teams and pack more talent on the remaining teams 👌 also, you don't need 82 games in a season, 50 or 60 is enough.*

I don't think FIBA is very different in terms of taking 3. 45% of FGA are 3 for the final 4 team in the olympic, still more than over 70% of the team in the NBA. More than 50% for the FGA of Spain and Japan are 3, only NBA team that shoot more is Boston.

I like the lowering the women’s baskball rim. More dunks means more eyes. People love Dunks more than shooting. Entertainment is doing generally what an average guy can’t do and in a spectacular way

A month later, the dubs are trash, but the effort is still there. A lot of this rah rah talk gets exposed in the nba-that’s why it’s the best league in the world. A lot of fans are asking “where’s Jerry? Why’s the dubs giving so much points up now?” Rah rah only goes so far. Same with mike brown in Sacramento. He has no voice anymore. You can only take the rah rah so far. Better to start strategic and use the rah rah occasionally to make a point. Rah rah is good for stories.

I think the three point discussion is a convenient scapegoat for the TV ratings. The crappy TV deal is a much bigger issue for fans.

Shorten the amount of games and have every team play 2 games a week, this will lower injuries, lower stars resting, and make for more meaning behind each game. For football your team has one game a week so of course ur going to watch it, as for basketball u got a game every other day almost so it wont matter to miss(also games for NBA are so hard to find ur casual fan isn’t gonna pay to watch a Tuesday night game that doesn’t matter), also I think most contracts should be more incentive based towards winning.

The more 3's shot in a game takes away from the athleticism and height of players on the court. That is why basketball is less aesthetically pleasing than it was before.

The rules need to be changed. Cut the corner 3 off. 3s have become too easy and shouldn’t be worth 3. Move the line back.

The teams just bail each other with the 3s. They both run up and down missing 3s most of the time. Then theres times when one team is making their 3s and the other team isnt but of course they cant stop shooting them so they go down like 30 points at halftime. Then at halftime a reporter asks the losing teams coach what they need to do in the second half and he says “we gotta start making our 3s”

Remove the 3pt line. Today’s game: no coaches required, do what the Celts do. Remove the line and you’re left with shooters who can hit longer shots, you’ll have more play in the lane, Kylie will be considered the god he is.

The answer in a nut shell More threes take = More threes made = Higher eFG% = Higher Offensive rating = higher probability of winning basketball games Like it or not, the NBA has figured out the best way to compete during an 82 games time span. If teams are not playing this, they’ll never keep up.

The answer is to move the corner line back. It’s not complicated. They shoot 3s now because of the spacing and basic statistics, open corner 3s are the highest Points per possession shot you can take, players are way too good at them now.

Well maybe if they don't play the Celtics. They put Tatum on Gaff or Lively which tales away the lob game. Our role players are gonna have to hit their 3s, and Kyrie has to play well in Boston. Lively is also gonna be important in guarding Porzingus, while still being a paint presence. We have a better squad this year so I'm hopeful. Also hopefully, Luka is close to 100% in the playoffs and finals

it's not the 3pt shot that is the problem, it's that players are not allowed defend it. there is just no way to defend the 3pt shot anymore, bad rules and bad officiating made it too risky to defend it or even contest it because if you dare to get close to a shooter it's a foul right away. you try to close out and it's either a 4pt play or you just gave em 3 easy free throws, so statistically you are better off letting them shoot a 40% shot and hope they miss (which they do a lot). if hand checking was allowed and the floppers like Curry and Harden would be given technicals it wouldn't be a problem at all.
@mazengwe28
@mazengwe28 13 сағат бұрын
Don't forget about the defender thinking twice about not landing in a player's spot. I think that is the most significant rule change that nobody mentions. I know Klay Thompson and Kawai Leonard were the unfortunate victims of play before the rule change, but it created a shift in defense that changed everything about defense. One could argue that it made as big, if not more prominent, an impact on defense as removing hand-checking.
