Another video that sells the romantic fantasy between horse and rider from a womens point of view, marketed toward women with the same point of view. "Horses are magical creatures"....ever notice these points of view are not pushed by men who are actually successful at the highest levels in equestrian competition..

I have been riding domestically and internationally, and watching videos for decades. This is the very best video I have viewed!!! So well done. I have often wondered how it is that my horse reads my mind and anticipates my thoughts. So it's true!!! Thank you for this inspiring and informative information.

This video was informative, insightful and needs to be shared many times over. We all seeK harmony but without professional people like Sue Dyson sharing her knowledge and others in this video how will others ever learn that abuse is not the answer for submission it is trust and harmony. Thank you for this amazing content. Grateful 😊

What's wrong with the horse - in terms of physical and psychological issues - yes; consider what is wrong, however, with the riders, trainers, groomers, owners; even Secretariat developed laminitis and was euthanized. Secretariat "would do anything for us," said remarkable groomer Eddie Sweat, however, that does not mean that the "do-anything-for-us" activity was healthy for the horse. Galina was showing everyone who had eyes to see where the pain was in her body. Galina, it seemed, did not want to "perform" and clearly let the Laura know. More power to Laura for then owning up to her desires to have a caring relationship with Galina and honoring Galina by letting her horse be peaceful and to hang around the horse facility unencumbered by human desires, expectations, money, and glitz and glamour of horse shows. Amen to Dr. Dyson and Dr. Jim Myers of Gold Coast Equine for being honest when many do not to hear it. Amen to all involved in the making of this remarkably candid, eye-opening video.

Wow that was absolutely fantastic and has made me think so much more about horses, what we ask of them, why they react to things. What a fantastic educational video. I myself am a firm believer in letting horses be horses. Graze. Be in a paddock. Have companions etc. I also am a firm believer in your energy with your horse, remaining calm and leading them with confidence but watching this also made me sad in a way because so much of what we ask them to do ie jumping they may not be able to see something properly but they do it. Also the hiding pain I also found interesting and the deep rooted behaviour in horses that makes them do this. Absolutely fascinating. Thank you so much ❤❤ I will be thinking much differently now about spooks and when my horse feels unsure about a situation.

Bubbe is amazing, after all she has been through, and her relationships with her horses. Truly, a champion on so many levels. I appreciate the discussions on horse senses and the 24 behaviors to raise awareness to pain. Also, the connection between human and horse is so well articulated here, backed by centuries of partnership, it's in our blood. Thank you!

Good to see the many and varied bastions and hangers on of the competition status quo using nice words and talking about harmony, and using science to keep the horse maximally comfortable in the high control gear to ensure compliance. The lengths they go to to justify the use of harsh bits, tight nosebands. I enjoyed the science of sight, hearing etc and Bubby is a lovely rider even with her new metal spine, but I am most impressed these days with the size and variety of your turnout, the heath and happiness of your herd, and how little gear you can get away with (once you ride well).

Unfortunately because the horse world is so utilitarian (and often entitled), horses are commonly seen as a means to an end instead of a lifelong commitment as our other animals like cats and dogs are. People ride because they find it fun, because they want to compete, because they want to get their "money's worth". Welfare for horses will never be priority as long as the horse world is focused on equestrianism: riding. Horses need to be seen as more than vehicles and sports equipment. Horses are still regularly re-sold when a child "outgrows" them. As if they were a piece of clothing. People regularly re-sell horses who can't perform to the level they want because they are aging, have sustained an injury, or simply don't have the aptitude. In the equestrian world, love for horses is conditional. I would praise this woman for saying she would keep her horse whether she could ride her or not, but that should be expected. Horses don't deserve any less. Continually rehoming a dog would be considered cruel, but horses - highly social animals who form lifelong bonds - regularly get passed between multiple hands in their lifetimes for selfish reasons, uprooting them and severing their relationships with other horses and with us. 32:50 "My wish for horses is for them to have the freedom to be themselves. To feel that they can express themselves and be heard ... and feel like they have choice and control in their environment." This person almost certainly trains horses using positive reinforcement, which means they are training horses in a way that gives them choice, control, and the ability to express themselves without fear of repercussion. Proper +R-based training is agreed upon across science to be the most ethical and effective way to train any animal, including people, without negative side effects.

Thank you so much for making this video. It’s so great to be able to hear people talk words that make sense of my own feelings and it’s just so nice to know that my intuition on what my horses need and want was spot on despite many horse people peers and just human peers telling me I was just sooking them/over thinking things etc etc. So thank you. 🙏🏼

You lost me at 56 million years??????? NOT POSSIBLE. There is no such thing as evolution if you are talking changing species. There are parameters inherent within a species to adapt. You have no idea what happened 56 million years ago, NO idea!!!! If you are thinking about the so called fossil record that was a product of one single event- not millions of years. If we evolved there should be millions of "missing links" every where, right? But there are none. Please think about it! It's really really important!

Horse Plus (Tennessee) works daily with many horses they save from slaughter. There is nothing wrong about a video on the physiological aspects of horses and humans just like watching dog videos. We know there is horrible treatment of dogs, too, but watching something fun or "educational" certainly lifts the spirits.

Thank you Bubby great interview. I wish I could have done something with horses, its my biggest regret my mum was afraid of horses and didn't want me near them. I would to my neighbours he had a couple of horses used to sneak down there. But I couldn't make her see my way of thinking. I still love them, envy people like you who made a life with them, be careful enjoy your lovely life.
