So VERY true!! I have my first horse, and everyone told me he was giving me attitude, or he was testing me, he had my number, and to ride through it, as was said here. Every time I regretted it, and ended up listening to him. One reason was gastric ulcers, another, poor saddle fit, and lastly, kissing spines. I listen to him now, more than anyone else, and we get along fine. I can no longer canter him, but the surgery was well worth it. He feels better and I didn’t have to put my “dangerous” horse down.

They really are so very easy to read, and so forgiving. They could take one out in an instant, yet they choose to obey. Glad you've done this video, I'm hopefully it helps human beings to understand what their horses speak loudly.

It's the more experienced horsemen who need to stop assuming that newer horsemen should 'just know this' and pass along their knowledge.

I was raised among Standardbreds as a child. I did indeed develop a feel for a horse that was in trouble. It's not that hard if you *pay attention* to the horse.

My horse has six of these regularly and another video by her said that 8+ was indicating a lameness issue. Does that mean that the 6 my horse has are simply normal/behavioral?

It's really sad that this video has to be made. This isn't new science. This is old-school horsemanship. Teach people the signs of relaxation, throughness, and the proper way-of-going. Train properly (according to the ageless standards) or you "cannot go without breaking down the horse or making him the boss." (Quote is from GYMNASIUM of the HORSE p 125, a classic standard. This book should be a required reading in vet-schools...and nobody should hire a trainer who doesn't understand -- and adhere to -- its' gist.)

Do not need the music in the background. Distracting and doesn't bring anything to the conent of this video.

How exciting! Your link is not hot, however; could reduce traffic to it.
