WOW You are genius. I was trying to make a cartoon in GODOT. May it is more efficient, but your way of explaining things is much better. I think I will try to make cartoons this way. Since your knowledge about GIMP and DaVinci Resolve is much higher than mine, may be you try GODOT for animating cartoons and end up making much better cartoon

Respect for the fact that you draw in GIMP! I do too, but it seems like most people never even think of it as an option!

My problem with davinci resolve is: You can probably do almost everything, but not easily or in an intuitive way

I remember using EyeOn Fusion at my first job back in 2008. I know this program but haven't touched it for ages but the videos on your channel really make me want to play around in it again. Sure I use after effects at work and no fusion but you know the curiosity of learning something new or picking something up again? I've always loved ping and click adventures by Lucas arts and using a note based compositing program and figuring stuff out felt like that. Like I remember the first time using fusion. I came from AE and I was so overwhelmed when I saw the nodes and was like "WTF is this?! I'll never figure this out" back then there were no KZbin tutorials about fusion. You had to figure out stuff yourself and it was a pain. So it's super cool that resolve bought eyeon and that this expensive program is free now and more people use it and make videos like you do. I seriously wish I would have had such content back in 2008 🤣

6:24 - Oh, ffs... animation framerate is supposed to vary. 1's, 2's, 3's. All depending on the needs of a scene. The reason rigged animation looks cheap is because it's unbelievably flat and no frame rate cap is gonna truly hide its lack of a soul.

Better option to Gimp for drawing is Krita ... you could also do it as VECTORS instea dof Rasters using Inkscape or Affinity Designer.

Man, it starts to make me sad. I used to use it, but DaVinci 18 needs 2GB of VRAM. And I'm on a 2018 ThinkPad, so that's not happening. I swapped to Kdenlive.

I saw your previous video and I literally just 1 minute ago finished my rig after watching some other videos. I haven't finished this video yet but I'm guessing the dissolve function will be used for expressions and remove parts. I've just got transform nodes, merge nodes and a background node. I was about to make a macro and I saw this video.
