I'm a pretty big Scooby Doo fan, and one day I realized the Backrooms would make a pretty fun backdrop for a Scooby Doo episode, so I made it!
This was also a test to see if I could make a full animated short film in Davinci Resolve.

As much as I dislike "limited" animation or vector "rigged" animation, this was pretty impressive! Especially the voices!

why the ""? this was actualy rigged and it is actually limited. The original was limited animation too. I get your point, i dislike that corporate add style of animation because it looks and moves bad. But I have no problem whith the flash style cutout animation because It actually tries to be animation instead of motion graphics. but why did you put the "" on limited and rigged?

i came here from your last video, i just discovered you, you can thank the algorhythm. Animation is something i love and like many, id like to do a YT series or something. I thought id have to use Tahoma 2D but its nice to see what you can make whith a video editor, your animation allthough limited, looks well done and has good timing. You said you wanted to avoid tjat horrible corporate style, which i thought was what you would do when you mentioned the rigging, but i like that you actually cared to add the little details that make it not look like a corporate add nor a beginer's animation. Maybe its not the first time you animated in other software, i dont know but ill find out while i wait for more resolve animation videos!

Yeah this rig was dope.I wonder what would happen if I threw animated rig overlays on top of VR avatars if I could create the illusion of consistency and mobility for characters not available in VR alone

Amazing tech demo of the capabilities of DR! It makes me feel more comfortable switching from AE. I'd probably still stick to more common animation tools (OpenToonz or Krita) but using DR as a compositor is really great!
