Think we need to address the AM position urgently and that for me would be bringing in Thelo Aasgaard. Would also bring in Poku and Kone. Our defence is ok it’s our attacking play in final third is just pathetic and that is putting it a nice way.

The fact is that we are in deep shit and the fact that we need to sig 3-5 players, something we never did before, just to avoid the drop is a disgrace. We are so bad to watch that it borders to abuse. This club has been in stuck in place for the last 5 years and we need a apocalypse in order to turn it around. I lost all hope to be fair, yet I still go to every game because I'm a sentimental idiot.

Of the old guard, Hutch, Wallace, possibly Leonard, Saville although those two could do a job from the bench need to be moved on with Honeyman and Watmore..Bryan isn't a LB, he did nothing about trying to stop the pass (block/tackle) and was way too far from that player before he passed to the player Scanlon was tracking.

I blame Harris and Rowett for the shit we are in, people need to stop lauding Harris as some god his recruitment irrespective of Gallen was poor glad he’s gone legend footballer average manager Rowett set up not to lose both were not good for going forward Harris took us backwards. Leave off Neil and Gallen not their fault for this lot of shit he’s been bequeathed with

I live in Brighton, and I know some of the brighton players from a few years ago. One is a personal friend for obvious reasons I can't mention names ¿?? He has told me connelly was always out on the piss and he would cause trouble. Look at his record at other clubs never did more than 1 year at any club..only scored 2 goals one was against us.
@ChristianRobertson-k6s5 күн бұрын
Connolly doesn’t fit into their system he’s not a quick counter attacking player, will get game time as he high presses defenders . Alex Neil likes to play a high press and Connolly is a good pivot to play off as a potential 10 with the Serb or Coburn.

Personally I think Bradshaw has been one of the hardest working strikers In my nearly 60 years a Lion, not the most prolific but a proper grafter. Good luck Tom ( please be injured when Oxford play us tho fella ) because if he’s fit, it’s a bolt in hatrick at the Den 🙄👊

Esse’s transfer was going to be complicated by a club jumping into action before the end of the season. If other clubs were interested they have to react quickly, because if he does make a difference then his value will only go up.
@markmurphy35785 күн бұрын
Possibly the Esse situation in a case of playing chicken with the signing. An agent is always going to try and get the best deal for himself as well as the player. Having 2 teams competing does that. I personally thought that no one would have come in for him before the end of the season. More data more better!
@markmurphy35785 күн бұрын
I’m going to make my comments as the subject comes up. Possibly Connolly because he is younger, has more potential to help us this season. Bradders has peaked and I think we have had the best of him. If Connolly can get himself sorted, then we could be in a much better position.

Tom, and his wife and daughter in the away end at QPR last season.
@markmurphy35785 күн бұрын
Bradders fee is possibly just paying up the rest of his contract. I think he has worked hard for this club and he has probably done exactly what he was asked to do. Unfortunately that isn’t going to get him a whole bunch of goals. Good luck to him except when we go to their place!

Really impressed Akex Neil honouring his statement to promote Millwall Youth, by giving 3 x Debuts v Dagenham - And didn't that pay-off: Bangura-Williams & Alfie Massey both impressed (Kendall didn't get a chance to show off his skills, but hopefully next time for him).
@ThatMillwallPodcast6 күн бұрын
Completely agree! It’s fantastic to see Alex Neil putting his faith in the Millwall youth system and giving these young players a chance to shine. Bangura-Williams' goal was a highlight, and Alfie Massey showed real potential. Kendall’s time will come, no doubt. Exciting times for the club!

Interesting one! Bournemouth would be a great move for Essa to develop further, but fingers crossed we keep him for a bit longer. He’s got so much potential, and it’d be great to see him continue to shine in a Millwall shirt. COYL! 🦁💙

Bangura-Williams was playing men's football for Tooting at 16 explains why hes ready from the start and Esse was bullied at the beginning
@ThatMillwallPodcast6 күн бұрын
Bang on! Playing men’s football for Tooting has clearly helped Bangura-Williams develop that composure and physicality early on. It’s a steep learning curve, and while Esse had to adapt, you can see the difference that experience makes. Both players have bright futures-exciting times ahead! COYL! 🦁

Good show lads, I was surprised how strong we went and great to see Billy come back. He has a place when playing your top 6 teams or to see a match out whilst leading 1-0. Might sound like shit work but he is great at doing it. So glad RBW scored and what a great goal it was. Fully behind youngsters and it’s a fantastic opportunity for players to stake a claim for Esse spot.
@ThatMillwallPodcast6 күн бұрын
Spot on! Billy Mitchell’s role in those tight games is crucial-he’s great at managing the tempo and seeing out results. RBW’s goal was a beauty, and it’s exciting to see these youngsters stepping up to fill Esse’s spot. Lots of potential in this squad, and Alex Neil seems to know exactly how to harness it. COYL!

I seriously don’t like that Joe Bryan said it from day one an expensive liability doesn’t care here for the money and thinks he’s better then what he is. Not a proper Millwall player imo. Waste of space.

Scanlon not far away and back in training, be interesting how it plays out.
@ChristianRobertson-k6s5 күн бұрын
@ agree personally from what I’ve seen of Scanlon he’s quick and can actually defend but it would be good to have a similar style player at right back to have a good balance on each side.
@markmurphy35787 күн бұрын
Esse going to Palace isn’t the worst thing, although I understand why people are upset. Firstly he was always going to go. For him he knows that Palace will play him. The fact that he went so soon is a testament to his development over the last year. He has developed quickly and if that carries on, he could have no limits. If he was signed by one of the bigger clubs then would he play, would he develop, would he be sold on for a profit? If we have a sell on clause then that is just as important. Hopefully this makes us more attractive to youngsters looking to get into the game. And people will still say why did we agree to a buy out clause in his contract? Well he probably wouldn’t have signed any other deal. Look at Zak Lovelace. No deal and off he goes. Same with Josh Stephenson. No deal again. Plus we haven’t been great at identifying and keeping talent. Eberechi Eze was here and released. Palace again picking up the talent. We have to accept that this is the way forward. We just have to get better at it and reinvesting for the future.
