Those are very similar to Photoshop, good to switch to. (Adobe is too expensive to me)

Your comic looks wonderful in page format, too! I heard all the same things you did during that time. I've had other webcomic creators tell me that I'd be 'left behind' if I didn't convert to scroll format. But even though I tried it, it just didn't work for me so I held fast to page. I do print runs of them sometimes. I just feel like page format is more future-proof and versatile.

Thank you! So much bad advice was going around in that time :/ glad you stuck to page format! Yeah its so versataile

Is it bad to say I prefer page form just because the length of updates for pages vs webtoons is way shorter.

Personally I prefer reading and drawing the page format! I just think it's more fun to see the panels interact with each other, and have a more diverse way of being able to panel. I was shook at hearing that webtoon originals creators have to do 40 panels a week! Especially as on average, I'm gonna be spending more than an hour per panel.

Webtoon converting is so entirely possible, and its really beautiful when people take the care to convert them, It's a shame that a webtoon like Lore Olympus (the biggest webtoon on the platform) didn't get the best quality conversion it could have. :(
@Gleamiarts28 күн бұрын
@@Mickiee-art yeah its such a shame. It really felt like a rush job to me :/ Like from converting my pages, ik it can be possible to make a print version that looks good

Advice I've been following for the past while is to take the approach of starting with page format first, then converting to scroll format for platforms like Webtoon and Tapas, since there's a lot more freedom with scroll format. That said though, I'm still in the process of actually drawing the pages in the first place, so I have no idea yet what the conversion process from page to scroll will actually look like for me. I did upload a page format comic on Webtoon a handful of years back though and I like to think it did decently well aside from my inability to update consistently, so hey, there's that!
@Gleamiarts29 күн бұрын
@startheberries9698 I was thinking about converting my newer pages into scroll for webtoon, but because I'm also converting previous episodes into print I just don't have the time to do so. Yeah that's good advice! I wish I heard it when I was starting out.

The first letter is really distorted when I draw how do I fix that?
@shibu51752 ай бұрын
I circumvented this issue by putting a single pixel a bit in front of the first letter. The idea is that the empty space gets distorted instead of the actual watermark. The pixel barely shows up or doesn't show up at all when using the brush. I hope this helps!
@Gleamiarts2 ай бұрын
in the brush settings (the wrench icon), go to correction and click on post correction. from there, you can adjust the post correction a bit so that the brush does not get distorted as much. Its a bit of trial and error and adjustment, but it should reduce the distortion!
@shibu51752 ай бұрын
@@Gleamiarts I also did this, as per the instructions in your video, but I still received a bit of distortion even at slow speeds because I had a signature with a very awkward and long stroke at the beginning. I think doing both of the aforementioned really helped. Also, I wanted to say, thanks so much for the tutorial! It was relatively quick and to the point, I appreciate those kinds of videos. The background music really works well here too.

I was using lasso and sudenly it stoped auto filling, why? :(
@Gleamiarts5 ай бұрын
@@nicolasmoreno9143 it could be many reasons. Were you on a vector layer, image material, comic frame, speech bubble or hidden layer? You cannot use the lasso fill tool on those types of layers. Did you select the wrong tool? Sometimes i accidentaly select the lasso too instead of the lasso fill tool. Is the blend mode set to normal? Checl your tool settings if it is not, because it may affect it. Also try testing your tool in a fresh canvas. Hope this helps!

I just purchased one of these Canson The Wall after watching some video reviews, yours included. I'm surprised not many ppl, esp english speaking youtuber review this sketch book, cuz from what I've seen so far, the paper quality was amazing. Like, a marker suitable paper that u can use both sides without them bleeding on to each other?? And its quite affordable too? Its like a dream tbh 😩💕 anyway, I can't wait for mine to come in the mail~
