Subscribed!! I'll for sure have to check out more of your stuff. I really liked this video! I know I am often drawn to comics that have cool fashion in them. The idea of searching the right key words or spicing up a more basic outfit with patterns or the like is fantastic. A lot of times just typing in "fashionable outfits" doesn't yield the reference you're looking for haha. Plus, it would help with characterization to search by a subtrend/certain style. I'm glad you covered that as well because I find that when a character is TOO stylish, it almost takes me out of the story. Like the artist was more concerned with drawing a cool outfit than thinking about the design of the character. Lots of good questions you brought up to consider. It's also very fun to watch you draw, very cute style!

Hey there.. does anyone have some ideas on how to make your characters legs look less.. bland? Like my oc wears shorts and no shoes, and the legs just look so boring

Observe from life or other artists. You'll notice that human legs aren't completely straight

You could try giving them tattoos or scars. They could wear leggings under their shorts, like how some athletes do. They could also have a belt or sash. Try doing small thumbnails and silhouette sketches (only drawing a small shadow outline of your character) to see if you can come up with ideas that way. Look on Pinterest, or on online shops to see how people style similar outfits.
