I have a HP Elitedesk 800 G1 SFF. With a similar MSI GeForce RTX 3050 6GB (low profile?) GPU as you are using I guess. My second hand i7-4790K CPU is coming in today. I also have 32GB of RAM. From the looks of this video I do not have to worry that much. I also plan on testing the Lossless scaling app from Steam.

I have the same processor but a GTX 1050ti graphics card. RTX 3050 seems to be the optimal graphics card or the upper limit of this processor?

The bottleneck is small, I'm testing it right now. It's a really big difference from the 1050ti. The problem is that the 6Gb 3050 version will cap high resolutions in new games. 8Gb Vram should be the basic for all entry-level cards. But unfortunately the i7 3770 has reached its end, it lacks many instructions like AVX 2 and FMA that are requirements to run many games today. I would change the processor first. Any cheap Ryzen AM4 kit can be a good deal because you can upgrade later.

In terms of raw power, the i7 3770 creates a small bottleneck on an RTX 3050 depending on the situation. There won't be any major bottleneck with your 7th generation i5. Now, the RTX 4070 is a very different situation, your 7th generation i5 will undoubtedly limit the GPU performance. But this depends on many things, especially different resolutions and use of DLSS. Higher resolutions require more GPU power and less CPU power. In your case, I would go with the 3050 (the 8GB version) or RTX 3060 because of the price, unless you are already thinking about your next computer.

1080p 60fps (occasionally 50fps) is pretty good for a 1650 :P So anyone running anything higher, like a 1650 super, 3060 6GB, 1660 base/super/ti would probably be able to run the game at medium settings

The fact all these games can still work with an i7 2600 CPU is a testament to developers & a great display of how they care of their customers, even if their rigs are as old as wood. Yet games like Forza 2023 stop working with new updates just and only because of a CPU check... yikes.
