The coil used is an 8" Minelab Commander.

Good test. At least you walked around in normal and explained although its great you can pick a nugget when you know where it is and your ground balanced, realistically you can't detect in that mode over large areas

This is the very reason i'm getting on to a new nuggetfinder 25 in x dd so i can run normal all the time.

I think 22 inch mono is noisy coil. How about using NF coils?

Really appreciate your videos on the QED. There isn't enough of them! Please keep uploading and even if you was to provide your best settings to suit each ground in a video one day that would be just awesome. I'm looking to get my first metal detector since being a child and after 30+ hours of research I'm going with the QED PL2 11" coil then will probably get the 25" evo nugetfinder when it comes out. Why is the coil of the 2300 pointing up in the air..Are you trying some new techniques..Crank the 2300 up to 5 and point it flat to the ground for a proper comparison..

Very interesting video!! I like the fact it’s an Australian made machine. But my only concern has been it’s ease of use with the settings!, as I thought they were a bit confusing to understand personally. But I guess if I had someone to show and explain how different settings effect each other, and how to workout what settings to use for each particular bit of ground.

Well done BW. The difference is huge, I was not sure of any targets when tested with the SDC. It would be nice if you could invite one of the Minelab experienced operators to use their SDC to identify the targets, so there is no bias during testing
