Good video, makes me slightly wish I started a car detailing bsns over my exterior cleaning bsns but I still love what I do and pros and cons. The new defender has grown on me. But as you said the price point is out of my range. So I’ve just piked up a 2017 full fat Range Rover, which I love and probably going to keep her for 5 to 10yrs depending on wear this silly legislation goes. I also like that the Range Rover has larger engines over the questionable 2 ltr ingenium engine that I think is in the defender and other JLR products. I like l322 but have know purchased my first l405 2017 4.4sdv8. I’ve been blown away by it and the l405s have grown on me. But both l322 and 405 are good options but i fancyed having a slightly newer one so i can run it for a long term car. Key with them all service history and mantance, and knowing the weak points. I think a lot of the stigma of rr are mixed by owners who haven’t looked after or have brought a neglected car without knowing what there getting into, and these are heavy 4x4s and will ware thru teams quickly. But personally I’ve found them to be no less unreliable to other equal cars. But it could be my luck. Or prospective. Ive only had one big issue with one l322 supercharged and that was down to the gearbox failure down to high mileage and no service of the gear box on record bar the one i had done. Other than that it’s sensors and bushings. And on the l322s especially the older ones can have electrical gremlins.

One point on the td6 when it comes to service is the crank breather filter, hardly ever gets done and can get clogged up, lives ontop right at the back, left side as you look at the engine, remove air intake plastics, and there is a section of screws this lifts out and bmw used to use like a foam roll but changed to a cyclone type, cheap of Amazon about £25 made by Febi.
